Description

You'll love being eco friendly with this quiet, pleasant ride, perfect for hearing the sounds of the waves. It's easy to throw your beach or hiking gear into the roomy hatchback and head for a delightful day in paradise. Plenty of space in the back seats too! The ac works great, and in the unlikely event that you'll need them, seat heaters are fun too. Maui has gas prices in the range of $3.58 per gallon + so you'll save on gas. This car is fully electric. Just make sure you have somewhere to plug in. The range is 77-80+ before it needs a recharge, depending on how hilly the terrain (going downhill charges the care and going uphill takes more energy) This is NOT your car to go to Hana in. But I've made every other trip on the island from Kihei with our sweet Leaf. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!! If you're sticking around your hotel/accommodation, this car is easy. If going on a day trip, give some thought to how far will you be driving (ideally, roundtrip is 72- 82 miles and you can charge when you get back to your accommodation). If you need to charge during the day, here are some sites to help you figure out where will you charge it, how long will it take, and how to pay (some chargers are free, such as Safeway... and some are very nominal, like Costco). Faqs

  • Where can I charge the car?

There are charging stations around the island. Some are free, and others require a membership card. We recommend asking your bed and breakfast if there is a spot to charge, or researching charging stations near the location you’ll be staying. If you’re staying in the Kihei area, you can choose to charge at our location for an additional $15 a day. Ideally roundtrip is 72- 82 miles and you can charge when you get back to your accommodation, if they have a spot where you can charge overnight. If you need to charge during your day, you may like to think about - where will you charge, how long will it take, how do you pay?
