This is the worse experience I’ve had while using Turo for the past two years. The most important thing to note about my experience with Bridgett was the undertone and the conniving approach she uses in business matters. Here are the issues I experienced while renting from Bridgett: 1. When I originally booked a car using the Turo app it was a different car that was rented out by this same host Bridgett. However, that original Turo was canceled by the host with no explanation. I also noticed I could still book that car but the price had just increased. Turo immediately sent me the green light to book another car and it would be for the same price. I quickly go into the app and book another car and soon realize the booking was through the same host. Because I was booking this for an interview and I was a little worried. I wrote Bridgett on the Monday I booked to confirm that the booking order was ok, Bridgett never replied. My booking was for Thursday. 2. I’ve never had a Turo that wasn’t willing to meet me at the airport. My purpose for even renting a car was to minimize spending on Uber/Lyft. Unfortunately, I still had to Uber 30 minutes away from the airport to the location, costing me 30.00 extra dollars. Here’s the issue: I messaged Bridgett Thursday morning around 9am (my flight was due to land a 2pm). My message to Bridgett asked if she’d be able to meet me at the airport for pickup. A simple yes or no would’ve been enough. However, Bridgett ignored me twice at this point. 3. I finally spoke with Bridgett once my flight landed. I had to call her because she didn’t reply to any of the three messages I sent using the app or the number provided. When I spoke with her, she was rude and unhelpful and stated that she was at home as if I was bothering her. Once I arrived to pick up the car, I noticed that the original car I booked was there along with the second car I booked. The host friend was doing the checking out for the car and asked what my plans were for dropping off. I stated that I would drop off on Saturday due to my flight leaving out at 5am on Sunday. She then proceeded to tell me that the host sometimes do airport drop off so I should contact her for the details. Saturday morning at 7am I still had not secured a ride to the airport so I wanted to extend my trip and try the airport drop off option. I went into the app at 7:30am and extended my trip which was due to end at noon on Saturday. I immediately sent Bridgett a communication, in the app, of my situation and asked if I could extend and if I could drop off at the airport. She replied (for the first time my entire trip) “I will message you later. I’m sleeping, the car is available”. At this time she still hadn’t approved my request. 4. Bridgett called me approximately 20 minutes prior to my trip ending and explained to me that she was about to approve the request. She also explained to me where to drop the car off at the airport and to use the lockbox provided in the car and to leave 20 dollars for the parking fee. In the middle of me asking for more clear instructions she said oh I’ll call you right back because my mom is calling. I waited and my request made at 7:30am still went unapproved. Finally, I got the notification from Turo that Bridgett didn’t approve my request and my trip has ended. As soon as that happened Bridgett uses the app, which she had been calling my personal number before, to say “ I’m approving your request now”. I’m pretty sure Bridgett got the same notification I did that my trip had ended. After she sent the message via the app she immediately called me to tell me she was unable to approve it because she thinks it timed out. DUH!!! She allowed it to timeout on purpose. While on the phone she says “oh just end your first trip, upload the pictures and go on the app and rebook. I proceeded to do that. Due to her pick up and drop off setting i was unable to rebook and had to call her again. She acted like “oh yeah, I forgot”. Ma’am, you use Turo often, I’m most certain you haven’t forgotten how it works. Once I went to rebook, the price went from $66.00 for extending to $145.00 for a new Saturday and Sunday booking. At this point I was completely frustrated and just told her that I would drop the car off at its original location. So that’s what I did. My conclusion: All she had to do was approve my request. Instead she sent a nasty text about her sleeping. You were so asleep that you sent me a whole text vs hitting approve???? She was rude from the beginning for NO reason. She is either a racist or flat out rude, nasty and unhelpful. She also tried to play dumb to get me to do extra bookings. I don’t recommend using Bridgett for Turo. I’ve been using Turo for two years and this is the worse business trip I’ve ever had.
