Description

**For DIA/airport delivery please see special instructions below** Are you a regular EV user or want to try one out for the first time? Well this car is perfect for both! Meet Shale, the 2020 Chevrolet Bolt in well-equipped LT trim. This vehicle is an absolute blast to drive, providing a perfect balance of economy, eco-friendliness and SPORTINESS. The instant torque on-demand is truly an experience to behold. Some features this vehicle has on-board... -250+ mile range -Heated seats -Heated steering wheel -All season tires -Lane-keep assist -Day-time running lights (automatic) -Traction control -Sport mode ...plus a host of other standard features. The best option yet...return the vehicle on any charge-level as long as it’s over 30 miles remaining for only $1.00! Yes ONE DOLLAR. That means you get over 200 miles of driving for close to free, no need to worry about filling up with gas or charging. Make sure to click this “Extra” during check out. I charge $50.00 for my gasoline powered vehicles for comparison. If you do suspect you will drive more than 200 miles during your trip, don’t fret as there are hundreds of charging stations throughout the state, some of which charge the vehicle completely in less than 2 hours. ***if you are traveling to popular mountain destinations, most towns have charging stations that are free*** If you have questions about using an EV, please ask and I will send you detailed instructions on usage, charging and tips. No smoking or drug use in vehicle please. ***DIA deliveries: Please select “Guest Delivery” priced at $50.00 for DIA deliveries. The vehicle will be left in the “Park DIA” off-site parking, which is a 5-minute free shuttle ride from terminal. The vehicle pick-up and drop-off will then be utilized in this lot. Leave lot cost-free. This process will be explained in further detail after booking. Please enter the following address: Park DIA 25200 E 68th Ave Aurora, CO 80019

Chase was really great to communicate with through the Turo app or text. The car was very smooth, super quiet, loved the heated seats and steering wheel, and the cell phone chargers for android and apple. I would say this car is best suited for only 2 people if you have luggage. I wish it would've had racks to carry skiis as it was very difficult to fit them in the back. It managed the snowy roads just fine, even in the mountainous areas. I only spent like a $1 at a charging station as most stations are free, so definitely a great alternative to gas cars. However, in my opinion the car is best suited for when you're driving only in the city. I wouldn't reserve it again for the mountain areas as it consumes a LARGE amount of power when driving up. The charging stations only give 10-20 miles per hour of charging, which can turn to only 5 miles in a matter of minutes once you start driving up, especially in the winter snowy weather. So if you're in the mountain area, charging will cut into your daily activity time. Chase included an adapter in the trunk so you can plug it to an outside standard outlet if you find one where you're staying at or if you have a long extension cord to plug into an inside outlet. Although that was helpful, the adapter only gives like 2 miles per hour of charging. We left it plugged overnight for only two nights of the trip since the other nights we were not staying where there's an outside outlet in the parking lot. I actually ended up getting towed off of I-70 near Loveland because I ran out of power, but this was my first time using an electric car and was unaware how much power is consumed going up the mountain area. This was my fault for the inexperience. Chase was very supportive in trying to help. However, I was stuck with a high bill for a tow truck to take the car to the nearest town with a charging station. Note, not every town has a charging station. Do not confuse with Tesla stations as these are not for this car. Chase was flexible with the time I could drop off the car the day of my return flight, but need to let him know with enough time so he can coordinate his schedule.

Chase's response

Thank you for your detailed review. I’ll make sure to communicate to future guests the fact EV’s use more energy going up steep grades when compared to flat areas, similar to gasoline vehicles using more gasoline.
