  • This is my first trip, how does Turo work?

    I've worked with a number of first-time guests before becoming a host myself and the process is really easy. After you've booked your trip I'll be meeting you at the agreed location to hand off the keys so you may start your trip. 📸 The Turo app check-in process requests for the guest and host to submit pre-trip photos of the vehicle so we may capture the condition of the car. 🚙 After taking your photos, you're free to begin your trip and must return the vehicle in the same condition it was provided along with the same amount of fuel. 📸 When you return the vehicle, take photos of the vehicle once more along with the host to confirm the condition the vehicle was returned. ✅ After you have submitted the post-trip photos you may complete the check-out process in the Turo app. 🚨 Kindly note, if the vehicle is returned damaged, unclean, or any other issues are found the host will be using the Turo app to request reimbursement. Documentation will be provided and available to view in the Turo app. 🚨

  • Are there any other costs I should be aware of?

    💰 Hosts may request reimbursement after the trip ends for a number of reasons. Some examples may be if the guest returns the vehicle with less fuel than it was provided or the vehicle wasn't returned in a clean condition. ✅ For more information about reimbursements and guests fees, click here: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060440134-Guest-fees

  • What if I need roadside assistance?

    🛻 If the vehicle is undrivable, PLEASE contact the host to let us know about this issue and call roadside assistance at 1-415-965-4525 (US) 🚙 If you can still drive, contact your host to let us know about this issue. Then continue your trip and report the damage within 24 hours from the time of the incident in the Turo app. You may use Turo's Resolution center to file your report along with any photos related to this. 😔 If you were in an accident with another vehicle, record the other driver’s full name, address, and contact information. Get the vehicle registration number and insurance provider information. Be sure to get the contact information of any witnesses. And be sure to take clear photos of their car and all damage. 🧾 Please provide all those the other party involved in the accident with the Turo Incident Information card.

  • What if I need to extend my trip?

    We understand plans change, however, we ask all guests to return the vehicle at or before your trip's end time. ⚠️ If you need an extension please request it through the app to avoid any additional charges.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    ⚠️ Wait! Before you cancel, please consider a few things about your trip and Turo's cancelation policy. ✅ The amount of your refund depends on when you cancel and the length of the trip. Funds from a canceled trip or no-show trip you fail to cancel remain available on Turo for 24 hours so you can rebook. After 24 hours, we’ll automatically issue your refund. ♻️ If you don’t want to rebook and don’t want to wait 24 hours, you can opt for Turo to initiate the refund immediately. Choose this option when you cancel or via a link in your cancellation email.
