Description

Owning our Model S has been a dream, you are going to love it! Its whisper quiet to drive. If you turn off the radio, the fan and open up the pano roof on a warm evening, you can just drive with the sound of nature and a bit of wind. Acceleration is as advertised. Regenerative braking is the underappreciated trick this car pulls off. I find myself holding off on the brake as long as possible to see if the car will just slow itself down in time and it does. A car this quick needs to hold your loose stuff. It is the best car I've ever driven. And it is as good today as when we took it home. National supercharging network enabled on this car. So you will not have to pay a penny in gas during your rental. If you are looking at any other electric go Tesla you won't regret it. You are responsible for supercharging/idle/toll/parking fees during your trip. Battery Information 60-kWh 302 horsepower @ 5,000-8,000 rpm 317 lb-ft of torque @ 0-5,000 rpm Range 230 miles @ 55 mph (EPA 208 miles) 17-INCH INFOTAINMENT SCREEN The Model S's standard 17-inch touch screen is remarkable and not just due to sheer size. The screen is easily reconfigurable, bright, vivid, intuitive, and reacts to taps, pinch and drag gestures with snappy immediacy. It is almost certainly the best in-vehicle infotainment system available. The design and drive-ability is a wonderful experience. This car is so much more fun. So quick and nimble. Long trips just take a little planning-no problem! Charging stations are everywhere. Easily the best car I have ever driven, let alone owned. You are going to love it! Please note that delivery and pickup to any airport will take place at the closest electric charging station.

This was my first time renting an electric vehicle on Turo, it was my girlfriend 25th birthday surprise trip. I decided to rent the Tesla, the overall experience was horrible because we had a lot of major issues during our travel. First, when assessing the vehicle during pick up, I noticed that the outside and inside of the vehicle was not cleaned. Also, inside of the vehicle smells like cigarette smoke. I make sure I took pictures as Turo suggested; After, I started to drive the vehicle, Mr. Burke called me and notified me that each time I stop at a super charging station that there will be a charge. I thought to myself, That defeats the point of renting a Tesla, if I was going to be charge each time for charging it. Later, I was surprised to find out how many times I had to stop to charge up the vehicle. While driving, I noticed the vehicle was losing charge really fast even when it was parked. Each charge took almost an hour to be fully charged on a supercharging station, which was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. At one of the “supercharging” station, My girlfriend cried because we where stuck at the station for more than an hour trying to charge the vehicle, the port would not release the charging cable and the car would not charged. After exhausting all options and asked other Tesla owners for help that was charging near me. I called, Mr. Burke about the issue, he was talking to me in a condescending tone and making smart remarks about not knowing what to do. I kept my cool, and eventually I worked it out. Upon returning the vehicle, Mr. Burke told me that he was going to charge me for cleaning inside the vehicle. I told him that the car was in the same condition when I got it. He wanted to argue about that that. I simply asked him when did he cleaned it and he said, “a day ago before I picked up the car”. I told him, “that could not have been true”. All in all, I’m hoping no one else goes through this experience ever. Currently, disputing cleaning charges-Smh

Sorry to hear you did not have a good experience, Davidson. We were in constant communication during your two day road trip logging over 20 calls and just as many messages. I have rarely needed to hold hands with someone as much as we did. Basic communication and basic vehicle operation seemed to be a huge struggle for you. You returned the car from your 600 mile road trip in filthy condition. You also lied to Turo claiming that all of your Supercharging fees should be billed directly to me.

Burke was great, the car was clean and fun to drive! I had left the car plugged into my outside outlet at home and didn’t realize it wasn’t working. He was understanding when I explained and definitely would rent again!
