Description

Meet Dahlia! She is a fully loaded 2019 Tesla "Sleeper" Performance Model 3 and is the only one like her available in Dallas. She looks unassuming, but there's something monstrous within, and she's ready to pounce! What is a sleeper, you ask? She has all of the mechanical advantages of a Performance Model 3. However, lighter wheels, aero covers, and lack of a spoiler disguise it while providing even faster acceleration and improved range. This is considered the quickest and most desirable configuration among Model 3 enthusiasts and was discontinued in 2020. • Quick 0-60mph in ≈3 seconds • 300+ miles of range • Black leather interior • No gas! • Panoramic glass roof

Guidelines

Absolutely no smoking, there will be a $150 charge for smoking in the car. Please tidy up the car before returning, and don't charge over 90% unless you're planning to dispel the charge immediately(i.e., on a road trip). Also, please pay attention to the road and keep your hands on the wheel while using autopilot. This feature is not meant to be a substitute for an attentive driver. Have fun!

Faqs

  • How do I locate charging stations?

Tesla superchargers can be found on the console of the car. These are typically located in and around cities and are often placed near other amenities(i.e restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, etc...). The Plug Share app will also help you identify non-Tesla charging stations near you. These are far more abundant and can be found in most locations. It's a good idea to identify charging locations and to make a plan for charging the car before going on a long road trip. Go here for more information about using superchargers https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging

  • Is autopilot safe?

Yes, absolutely. However, it is still very important to pay attention while it is engaged. Go here for more information about Tesla autopilot https://www.tesla.com/support/autopilot

  • Does the car drive itself?

No, this vehicle does NOT include the full self-driving package. If you're interested in trying the full self-driving capability we recommend checking out Dahlia's little sister, Lilith. https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/denton-tx/tesla/model-3/854729 Go here for more information about Tesla autopilot https://www.tesla.com/support/autopilot

  • How much does it cost to charge?

Charging costs can differ between locations. However, Tesla superchargers charge by the kilowatt-hour(kWh) and the cost ranges anywhere between free to around $0.28 per kWh. Please be sure to move the vehicle from the charging stall once complete in order to avoid idling fees. Supercharging costs and idling fees are billed directly to the host and will be passed onto the renter after the trip is complete. Non-Tesla charging stations range in cost and are billed directly to the renter. Go here for more information about using superchargers https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging

  • How long does it take to charge?

Charging rates will differ between locations. However, at Tesla superchargers, it generally takes about 30-45 minutes to charge from 10% up to 90%. From 90% to 100% the rate slows dramatically and isn't recommended unless you're going on a long road trip. Non-Tesla charging stations are generally slower. Go here for more information about using superchargers https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging

  • How often should I charge?

As is with any battery-powered electronic device such as a cellphone, you'll need to charge the car whenever the battery level gets low or it will stop running. This depends heavily on factors such as how fast and frequently you drive, the temperature inside and outside of the vehicle, and traffic conditions. The car is meant to be on 100% of the time and consumes a small amount of energy even while you're away. - Driving slower and accelerating more gradually will conserve battery. - Anticipate about 2 to 2.5 miles per percentage of charge. - Plan your charging stops, especially while on a long road trip. - Plan your charging at your destination. - ABC: Always be charging! (whenever possible) - Don't let yourself get stranded. If you're not sure whether or not to stop for a charge, do it. There are a number of superchargers available for use throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. However, it's very important to keep an eye on the battery percentage and to know where the nearest supercharger is especially if leaving the metroplex where they are less abundant.

Ian was great to deal with. Quick response times and very knowledgeable which was nice for me being a first timer in a Tesla. The car is really nice, fast, comfortable, very well designed, and did I mention fast? I highly recommend Ian's Tesla if you are visiting Dallas.
