Prepaid EV recharge

Save time and make dropoff a breeze by adding this Extra, which allows you to return my car without fully recharging. Please return with at least 45 miles of range.

US$25/trip

Guidelines

No pets and no smoking please. Sometimes the small display shows acceleration reduced' notification. This is a known software issue. Please don’t leave the car plugged into the superchargers once charging is completed. Tesla will charge idle fees per minute for this.

Faqs

  • How to charge

I recommend Tesla Superchargers (Instructions below). Also, good chargers include EVgo, Blink, Volta Another option, but a lot slower is Chargepoint.com -They accept apple pay, or you can call the number provided on the charger. it's $1-1.25 an hour typically Step 1 - Adaptor in the glove box (for ChargePoint and most chargers you need the adaptor) Step 2 - Unlock the charge port. Go to the lower left of the screen, hit the charge port button, and you will find the unlock port button Step 3 - Touch Chargepoint Card on the Chargepoint Charger, if the ChargePoint card is not in the grey pouch, then call ChargePoint for one-time charging - 1-888-758-4389 Step 4 - Connect the adaptor to the charger, and connect the charger to the car. It should turn from White to Green. There is a Short window to do this. Maybe 2 minutes. If you unlock the port and wait 2 or so minutes, it will lock back up. You need to unlock it again. i.e. The Tesla charge port needs to be illuminated white when you connect the charging cable. If it isn't unlocked charge port again. Chargepoint is 15-30 miles/hour to charge.

Communication was good, but the car was in fair shape. It had an electrical issue, plastics on seat driver's was broken, passenger side vanity mirror cover was missing, driver's door did not seal properly, and headliner was fraid at plastics. Electrical usage was higher than computer estimated at each stop, and charge was slow.

I was going to give this rental a 1 star but I’ll give it a 2 star. Multiple things: - Extreme brief explanation of electric car especially if you’re not familiar with range snd how to gauge properly and how to charge - Dropped off with half charge so I couldn’t leave for my trip; had to sit for 50 minutes to charge and then halfway through my 2 and a half hour trip I needed to charge up again for 20 minutes leaving me with 20 miles to empty at my destination. - Accidentally left my parking pass which is $150 to replace and he “rented it and they probably through it out” - I selected the prepaid fuel option but only got it on a half charge…? - When I ask him about possibly retrieving the pass, He has the nerve to say, “I would advise you start owning your mistakes and stop blaming others. You selected prepapaid ev-charge and it says you don't have to return with full charge, it doesn't say the host will deliver with full charge. You forgot the card, you didn't let me know on time.” - Lights we’re coming on during the drive including that the charge port is open and also that “performance mode is disabled” which his response was don’t worry about it. - One benefit is that he got it to me within an hour and a half, I guess that’s a benefit. *Overall, not a good experience at all, I would not utilize this again by any means. Don’t want to be that person, but I need to be honest here.

Umidjon's response

Hi Michael, Since you booked 30 minutes before the scheduled trip, there was not enough time to fully charge, but the car still had 150 miles of range as explained to you at drop off. The parking pass you left on 11/4 (unidentifiable) we placed in the glove box, however when you reached out on 11/13 we had 3 bookings since then and could no longer locate the pass. The prepaid fuel option you selected can be remediated with Turo customer service as explained over text.
