After the amazing goat rodeo known as renting and returning this vehicle early was over, the fact that another young person recently posted that this vehicle was "a beast" should have set off alarm bells. It didn't. (I'm not sure what that young person put this vehicle through.) The vehicle did fine around town. But after flying to Denver, we wanted to be in the mountains, so Mt. Evans here we come, with four non-obese adults and a small cooler of ice and drinks. Three miles into the mountains on I-70 west of Denver, the transmission went from all wheel drive to no wheel drive. Pedal floored, we were barely able to keep 40 mph on the speedo on a packed interstate. Semi trucks belching black smoke were passing us with our hazards on in the slow lane creeping up the hill. Four miles into the mountains was all this 2015 Nissan Rogue could handle. We were, however, able to limp another tense mile to the buffalo overlook exit at Genesse Mountain Park. We pull off and park in a spot sloped gently downward and open the hood to see the problem. One of the adults in our family works in the auto industry and checks the tranny fluid. No burnt smell and enough fluid on the dipstick. The air filter is way past needing changing, so we beat it on a rock. Nothing seems to be obviously wrong, no smoke and fluids leaking, but our grand family mountain adventure was now over. Our immediate problem, however, is that we have no reverse gear, so three adults pile out and push the pathetic vehicle out of it's parking spot. At least we have a forward gear and a downhill run back to Denver, so off we go to find Adiy. On the way, we Google "2015 Rogue tranny problems" and we find a lot of bad news. Class action lawsuits against Nissan over transmission issues. (If you rent this vehicle, you should Google this info first.) We meet with Adiy and he thinks we just don't know how to drive such a fine vehicle. "Nobody has every had any trouble with this vehicle before." Well, if it had a flat tire, would you say that 'nobody has ever had a flat tire in this vehicle before'? Duh. So Adiy graciously allows us to swap to his 2010 red Toyota Rav4 and off we go, until we get to our first major intersection. The brake pedal goes to within a half inch of the floor, so that I can't get the sole of my left shoe under it. I'm not sure that I will be able to stop in time. I'm thinking it needs some brake fluid and pull over to check it. It's low but not empty. I can't handle this crap. I call Adiy (maybe I screamed, I can't remember) to meet again for yet another vehicle. He tells me that he is going to just cancel my entire reservation and have me go my own way. I plead with him that I'm not a kook, I have my entire family with me with no other ready alternative transportation and that I'm just pissed that he sent us off in two non road worthy vehicles in a row. He tells me that all Toyota brakes go within a half inch of the floor. (I own and drive a 2011 Toyota Camry and know that's simply not true.) He agrees to give me one last chance to prove that I don't just get my jollies by test driving multiple used rental cars for fun and profit. with my entire family tagging along. He puts me in his 2010 white Ford Escape Hybrid and all is well, but the family trip to Mt. Evans is now a goner forever. The thing that pissed me off the most is that Adiy brushed off every one of my concerns, so it is up to the folks that rent this Rogue (and the Rav4) in the future to post your experiences. Will it climb that mountain or won't it? Adiy does get 5 stars from me for at least giving me one last chance to find a suitable vehicle in his stable of small SUVs and we did. My advice, however, is to rent his white 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid with the dent on the passenger front fender. (I think his ad incorrectly shows it as a 2009.)
Majid supplied us with a clean, sanitized car, it was great in the snow, and he made the whole rental process a breeze
Kevin was super easy to work with, he responds right away and pick-up/drop-off location was convenient. The car was super clean and ran great. I would definitely rent from him again!
Kevin was great to work with, very responsive and communication was easy. I extended my trip a few days and he was there every step of the way. Car was clean, ran great. Will definitely get cars from Kevin when the need arises.
This was our first Turo experience--we're now hooked! We were hesitant about this whole process, but it turned out great. Majid made the pickup and dropoff very easy. We loved his vehicle so much that I'm seriously looking into getting a Rogue. The Rogue easily held 3 checked bags in the back leaving all the seats open for items that we wanted to get to easily. The mileage allotment was generous. The car handled beautifully. Gas milage was great.
Car was ready, clean, and was perfect for journey! Majid was easy to reach and responded quickly!
Daniel was great. The vehicle was in perfect condition and he was flexible with me adjusting the return time.
The car was clean and easy to access. Raul gave great instructions and everything went smoothly.
Noelle was great! Easy and fast to communicate. The car was perfect for our trip. Very clean and in perfect condition!
Adiy’s drive was a beast. Colorado has the coolest roads and his Nissan got me through the hardships of high elevation. 4WD is the must have option when it comes to traveling in Denver. Adiy got the thing you want for your vacation.
Adiy made this experience very simple for us, and the car ran smoothly and was super spacious. It was also very good on gas for the duration of our trip - perfect for the open Colorado roads! Thanks Adiy!
Noelle was great and communication wasn’t an issue at all. Car was nice and ran smooth!
Grate clean very reliable and great on gas, I will book with him any time I go to colorado. Book his cars they are grate and clean.
Responsive and understanding when needing to extend my rental by one day. Would recommend!
Fantastic service and great working car when I needed it most! Thanks for an amazing trip!
The car was great, it rides really well and it was immaculate. Raul responded to several of my questions during the trip very quickly! He even let me extend my trip for another hour. I was only in town for 7 hours so this rental helped me out a lot. Picking up the vehicle is really easy since it has a lock box. Also, 10 min away from the airport. I guess that sums it up!
Dawit was a great host and really went above and beyond to prepare the car for a safe journey. 10/10 would rent from again
This vehicle is amazing. It was clean upon pick up and Carlos communicated great with me. He is amazing. Thank you Carlos. Look forward to renting with you again.
Car ran well, was comfortable, and more than enough space. I was surprised as to how good the turn radius on the car was considering it's size. Check in and out was easy and if back in the area, would rent the car again.
Super easy pickup & drop-off (especially great since I booked very last second too..) - definitely a 5 ⭐ host in my book! Thank you!!
The car was perfect for my vacation in the mountains! The vehicle is well maintained. I will rent from Maiid again.
Very reliable and spacious vehicle! We had a big group (6) it seated all of us comfortably with our carry on luggage and hiking packs. Brian was easy and great to work with. Would rent from him again
The car was perfect for our trip and handled snow and ice well. Brian was great to work with and made the process super easy!
I was the first person to book this car and I will definitely book it if i come back to Denver. Cari's car is well cleaned and maintained. Perfect in communication. I will recommend booking this car if traveling to Denver.
Car was great! Lots of space. Clean and runs well. Pick up and drop off from airport pick up option was simple.
Jordan was simple and easy to work with, very kind. The car was easy to drive, clean and gave us no issues for the period of our trip!
Jordan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was great with communication and worked with me through flight delays. Would definitely recommend to rent from him again. The Rogue worked great in RMNP.
Car was in excellent condition and ran great. Owner is awesome and easy to work with. Definitely recommend to rent from.
The car was so nice, with a lot of unexpected bells and whistles. Very clean when I picked it up. The gas mileage was incredibly good. I would absolutely rent this vehicle again, given the opportunity.
This was a great vehicle. Worked very well in the snow and was able to hold all of my luggage. Syncing my phone to the radio and having a key fob with no actual key was a plus. Would definitely rent this car again.
Nice clean car! Comfortable to be in. Drives well. Had good communication with the host.
First time using Turo. Worked out flawlessly. No complaints. Car was perfect for family vacation. Raul was timely with responses. Would recommend.
Maid was great!!! Great communication, the perfect host! Car drove great and is good on gas!
Car worked great! Lots of scratches, little dents, and bumps on the car - but it was clean and worked great
Fantastic renter. Clean car. Great ride. Was exactly what we needed to tour Colorado. Would advise to anyone
