You must have insurance to rent this car. Dogs are welcome but you must notify us BEFORE the trip. This is a strict no smoking car. The car is cleaned, sanitized and vacuumed for you , we ask that you do not rent if you have been sick within the last 14 days and you bring the car back how you find it.

Trip Overview Summary: Overall the trip, communication, cleanliness and service were lacking and inconvenient, but the car drove nicely. Also, should be known that premium gas is needed for this vehicle which adds a little extra expense and owner asks for car to be washed and vacuumed before the return, which is unreasonable inconvenience when the car was dirty when received. This was my first trip using Turo. Wouldn't use again. Trip started out promising, we were provided with detailed instructions on how to get to the vehicle and also access to the vehicle prior to our arrival. Once we arrived we received a message from the owner that the previous renter did not clean the vehicle and he would provide a $20 discount, this was never received. The car was dirty in the interior and trunk (used masks, napkins, and trash on the floor and center consul and trunk) we also spotted damage (missing gas cap cover was missing, above the rearview mirror was loose and cracked). On the check-in instructions we were asked to take pictures and send them to a contact number provided on the Turo account. I texted the number to send a picture of the mileage and informed the owner of the damages and that the car smelled of weed, since I did not want to be charged for smoking in the car. I asked for clarification on where I should send pictures of the damage and trash through text or the app and never received a reply. I also went through the app to add a driver and Turo never responded to my request. The car was advertised as "I take great pride in keeping my cars cleaned and SANITIZED. To prevent the spread of germs during this flu season every car is sanitized and cleaned thoroughly with anti-bacterial before and after each trip. Rest assured you are driving the worlds cleanest germ free rental car on the market!" The day before my reservation ended, I received a message from Tracy stating the reservation was ending a day earlier and I was expected to wash and refuel the car and not be late or I would be charged penalty fees. I messaged him back through Turo asking him to re-check the reservation and if his Turo account provided an outdated number. I had a job interview an hour earlier than the stated return time, I received a message while I was on my way to the interview telling me there was a misunderstanding and failed to read and answer my whole message. When he did provide me a contact number it was different than what was provided, but that was several hours after my reservation had ended.... Either Turo is not keeping their renter's accounts up to date or this was a disappointing and stressful experience. Lastly, the rental description did not state premium gas is needed for this vehicle which adds a little extra expense and owner asks for car to be washed and vacuumed before the return, which is unreasonable inconvenience when the car was dirty when received. The car was in better condition than when I received it. This was my first trip using Turo. Wouldn't use again.

Hello Susan , As a luxury car it does state it takes premium gas. Also because this is ride share I notified you well before that the guest right before you said they could not clean it. Your reimburse time would come after the trip. This is also by Turo’s standards. At every turn you asked for me to rent to you longer or change your trip. This is why we were not able accolade.

This was my first stab at Turo so it was sort of a learning curve but overall the experience was good and the host Tracy was friendly and very helpful. The vehicle had a couple of small issues that didn’t hinder the trip and we couldn’t easily fix them because we arrived very late one evening and were always on the move during our stay. Tracy kindly refunded an amount to cover the small inconvenience which I appreciated.

Car was clean and got good gas mileage. A few things with the car had wear but nothing that affected the driving. Check in and check out was more complicated than other Turo rentals I’ve done, but detailed directions were provided.
