This was the worst car I have ever rented from turo! The back windows did not let down, and the air did not work in the car. None of this was listed in the description. Also, whoever is sitting in the backseat we’re unable to open the door and let themselves out. With these features, we finally figured that this was an old police car. Lastly, we wanted to changed the drop off. After contacting the owner, the price was changed right before our eyes. It went from $60 to $100. We asked why did the price jump and his reply is that’s just what it is. Would never rent again!

Nick's response

The windows are noted in the description. The price of my delivery fee is a flat fee, but I apologize for your confusion. I was very accommodating to your change in schedule however I apologize for any inconvenience you felt you may have experienced. Best regards

The host’s vehicle was substandard. It had no AC and the back windows did not work. Upon realizing this, I contacted the host through the app, and after a while, he responded back saying “I am not available”. I texted the number provided and after no response, I requested to end the trip early and return the car. The host immediately denied the request and responded back saying he’d have “a mechanic to pull up on me to put Freon in the vehicle”. At this point, I was late to the event I was hosting and decided to return the vehicle and call Turo support for additional assistance. I told the host I was at the original drop off place, to which he responded “I’m not there”. After close to an hour of speaking to support, I was relieved when they offered a refund for the subpar and frustrating service. Support offered to find a new vehicle in the area, but at this point I was very late to my destination and I declined their offer. The host advised me to place the key in a secure place and I left the vehicle as we agreed. Later, he sent an $80 fuel invoice (half of the trip’s total amount), which was inaccurate, as I spent the majority of my time waiting in the car outside of his residence when I returned the vehicle. This appears to be retaliation from having to refund the cost of the trip. The vehicle has black electric tape in random places inside and out, the back windows don’t work, and the AC does not work. The air blows hot.

Nick's response

I am sorry to hear your frustrations. The vehicle is fully functional as described. It is an economy vehicle. I offered to have a mechanic (free of charge) come to your location to add more freon in order to accommodate if you felt the A/C was not cold enough. You are the only guest to note so, but even then I did not hesitate to accommodate your said inconvenience by offering the mechanic. If you would like to drive more luxury vehicles you are welcome to rent out the other selections.
