Description

Hello fellow wanderers ✈️🚐⛺, I am renting my amazing 2015 Prius V hybrid which is a station wagon with plenty of storage space and great gas mileage. I routinely get 45-49 MPG for city and highway driving at 60-65 MPH. A full tank of gas at $3 will cost you ~ $30 and you can drive for 460 miles!. With gas prices climbing up, this is a great option to save money. The car is the highest trim level and comes with all the bells and whistles. Why pay AirBnb, Hotels and Guest houses hundreds of dollars when you can rent a car, drive to Seward and camp at the foothills of a glacier for way cheaper? Camping gear is available for rent separately and can include other gear like microspikes, helmets, harness for glacier hikes and other general camp items. Once the seats are folded, You can lay out your sleeping pad and sleep inside it comfortably and it hauls a lot of cargo with the available volume.

Rakesh is a great host and prompt in responding to messages. Prius is an excellent car, great mileage, trunk can fit 2 large check-in size bags and 3-4 hand bags easily. Enough legroom space. I highly recommend Rakesh's car for long term rental.

The tires are really close to the tread bars so driving in the rain isn’t advised. Also if you change those tires it won’t be so excessively loud inside the car on the highway.

rakesh's response

Thanks John. Tires have been replaced. All Prius’s have poor sound insulation and LRR tires are not meant for noise absorption. So, I don’t think I can do much with road noise unless I use a softer compound which will result in decrease of fuel efficiency.
