Description

We now offer AIRBNB rooms. Get this car and a great deal on a place to stay. Visit facebook.com/melerocarsharing for more details. Let us know you are interested in a car/place deal. Don't forget to Like our page for discounts and to keep up with specials we might have going on in Turo. This car is terrific for anyone that wants to use an electric instead of gas. Please plan your trips accodingly! It can take up to 8 hours for a full charge with regular charging and about an hour on a fast DC charge. You can use this car around Albuquerque very easily, There are several fast charging stations around Albuquerque. We do offer a regular or a fast charger as an extra. The regular charger can be plugged into any power outlet. Most hotels will let you use theirs or if using an Airbnb, you need a regular outside outlet. For regular charging (not fast charging), you need a regular outlet like the one you use to plug in your phone charger, TV's, etc. If you look at the charger, it will light up and show if it is charging or not. Also, do not use an extension chord to try to extend the length of the chord. This car does have fast charging, but does not come with the fast charger. We do offer a Fast Charger as an Extra. Before ordering the extra, make sure you will have access to a plug for fast charging (Dryer, Oven, sometimes garages have them). The Fast charger gets you a full charge in about 2-3 hours. DC chargers are even faster and charger under an hour. However most homes do not support it. You would need to go to a DC charging station in Albuquerque. I suggest using eco mode by shifting to drive twice to get the most miles out of the car. This car is meant for those who need a car to travel around town. If you think you are going to be needing to drive all day or go out of town, we recommend our Kia Sorento instead. If you have any questions, please message me before renting this car :) Here are some electric charge stations: https://www.pnm.com/ev-charging We have used Lattitudes in Rio Rancho and it works great! We have not tried Nissan or Chrevolet, but have heard they have free charging stations. The fast chargers at UNM always work great. We have also used the chargers at Winrock. There is a Super Fast DC Charger at Walmart on Carlise/Menaul but have not used it yet. Please no smoking allowed!! There is a $600 cleaning fee for smoking. Please clean the car when you drop off or or pay the extra. There is a $50 cleaning fee if car is returned without cleaning.

A half charged electric car doesn’t get you far... and good luck trying to charge it in New Mexico.

My issue is not at all with Anastacio, but the car itself. I had a very difficult time finding charging stations and I was very worried because I got into town late at night. Some of the stations are only for people who carry a charging card and are not that plentiful. I also did not know that if the person renting the car does not respond if you would like to cancel the agreement you will be charged for the rental. Thankful that Anastacio responded back.

Will rent again. The experience was great and Anastacio was very professional and cordial. Highly recommend renting a vehicle from him. The electric vehicle is also a good choice for Albuquerque, with the hills it's like the battery refills itself. However, you are limited to the distance you can travel in one go.
