Description

Offering a sustainable and cost effective electric vehicle, ideal for daily commute or weekend trips. This Renault Zoe has a range of up to 200 miles. The actual range will depend on a few factors such as your driving style and the outside temperature. In Summer temperatures the maximum range you could get will be around 190 miles. We’ll provide the vehicle charged at 95% of its capacity in order to preserve the battery life. You can either return the car charged or we will charge it for you on return. The cost is £10 for charge between 50-90% and £20 for anything below 50%. Should you need to recharge during your rental, we will provide the necessary cables to connect to charging stations and also the adapter to charge at home with a 3 prong plug. The adapter can be used at different voltages, use at the higher one by clicking on the button for maximum speed. Should you have any questions on this , we are always happy to respond to your queries and provide guidance if you’re new to electric vehicles. The vehicle is exempt from London's congestion charge and Low Emissions Zone charges.

Faqs

  • How do you charge the Renault Zoe?

Renault Zoe is able to be slow, fast, and rapid charged from public points, depending on network and type of charge unit. The Zoe accepts a Type 2 charging station. On a public charger, an activation process is required to initiate charging. Most chargers will allow you to pay as you go with your debit card. However, some might require an RFID card (membership). You can check information on charging station on zapmap. www.zap-map.com/live/ We suggest downloading the app before your journey if you need to recharge during your trip.

  • How much does it cost to charge an EV on public points?

Costs vary greatly for public EV charging, depending on how much charge is required, the cost of electricity for each network, and what type of public charge point is used. Some will cost nothing to use, while rapid charging will typically be priced higher than fast charging, due to convenience and higher charge point installation costs.

  • Can I charge at home/ a cottage?

To charge at home, we have provided an adaptor so you can plug in on a standard UK 3 pronged plug. This should only be used if you have off-street parking. Please make sure that any connections – except the one at the front of the car – are not left out in the open. Please note that charging at home would be a slow charge.

  • How long does it take to charge a Renault Zoe?

All the stations do not recharge at the same speed or the same price. On the motorway you would mostly get Rapid station and in a city centre a Rapid or Fast. Rapid 50kW: 45 min => 0-80% Fast 22kW: 2/3 hours => 0-100% Fast 7kW: 7 hours => 0-100% Slow 3kW: 17 hours => 0-100% To find the cost and times to charge an EV on a public charge point, Zap-Map’s Public Charging Calculator can be helpful. https://www.zap-map.com/tools/public-charging-calculator/

  • How far can I go before recharging?

On a full charge, the range of the car is officially 250 miles but you will most likely get up to 220 miles. If you drive in Eco mode (button near the gear stick) and drive conservatively the range should be fairly accurate. The range varies based on a number of factors, including driver habits, driving conditions, terrain and temperature, such as hot or cold weather. Air con can use up to 10% of the battery range. Temperature especially in very cold winter days (around 0 degree) strongly affect the battery. If you rent with us in winter, the maximum range will be around 130/140 miles. Make sure you have enough margin to complete your journey or have your next charge planned.
