FAQs

  • What is the range?

The range is 345 km (214 mi) when charged to 100%. Tesla recommends charging it to 80% for daily driving. Unless we let you know otherwise, expect to pickup the vehicle with 85% (approximately 293 km / 182 mi) charge. The range is an estimate only and battery levels should be used instead as a reference when trip planning. Please note that the battery range will depend on many factors. The following factors will affect the actual range: - Age/use of the battery will decrease the range (currently estimated at 80%). - Driving style will affect the range (strong acceleration and use of brakes instead of regenerative braking will reduce the range). - Terrain and road gradient will affect the range (range will increase if going downhill and decrease if going uphill). - Low outside temperatures will decrease the range. - Use of cabin heating/cooling will decrease the range. - Use of winter tires will decrease the range. - Use of Sentry Mode and Pet Mode will decrease the range. - Battery preconditioning will decrease the range. - Charging electronics will decrease the range.

  • What charging accessories are included?

We will include a mobile charger with adapters for regular outlets (NEMA 5-15) and RV (NEMA 14-30 and 14-50) outlets. Also included will be a charging adapter for regular charging stations (SAE J1772).

  • How do I charge?

Tesla Superchargers are the most convenient way to charge. You don't need the App, payment card or anything else, just drive to the Supercharger and plug it in. The amount spent on charging will be submitted to you for reimbursement through Turo at the end of your trip. Alternatively, you are welcome to use other electric charging stations at your own expense. There are many options out there for charging. Flo, ChargePoint, BC Hydro, Electrify Canada, some gas stations. Most of the time you would need an App and account to use them. Many places also have free chargers for their customers. PlugShare App has most of the charging stations.

This car made my trip to Vancouver! It was very iconic to drive it down the sea to sky highway in the rain. The car was very very comfortable, and clean. The owner was helpful in explaining to me how to use it as it was my first Tesla ride. Would recommend!

The host was helping and friendly but the car has really bad battery condition charged it literally 2 times for just going to whistler and again 2 times while coming back!

Martin's response

Thank you for the feedback!
We've updated the listing to describe the battery condition. Apologies if this was not clear when you booked your trip.
As the car is over 5 years old, some deterioration of the battery is expected. Other variables can also affect the battery use: driving style, low outside temperatures, winter tires, cabin heating/cooling, Sentry Mode...
Regarding your trip to Whistler, we've noticed that the car was charged 3 times, one of them to recharge it before the return.
