The car was very easy and smooth to drive for a day trip to the blue mountains.
Lovely car to drive, the ur drive banner is slightly faded and the address online for 40 Baxter is further down the street so we had a bit of a hard time finding the location, besides that the car was lovely and return was very easy

Driving in Ferntree Gully's suburban areas differs significantly from navigating Melbourne's busy city streets. In Ferntree Gully, you'll encounter more relaxed traffic conditions, wider roads, and generally easier parking. However, if venturing into Melbourne, be prepared for increased traffic, more complex road rules, and limited parking options. Check your vehicle's coolant levels and tyre pressure before long drives, as heat can affect these. Use sun visors and window shades to reduce interior heat. If travelling to remote areas, inform someone of your plans and carry extra water and snacks. Remember, road surfaces can become extremely hot, potentially affecting tyre performance, so drive cautiously and take regular breaks to avoid fatigue in the heat.

Consider visiting the Puffing Billy Railway in Belgrave or exploring the Yarra Valley wineries. Ensure your hired car in Ferntree Gully is suitable for the terrain you'll encounter. Pack essentials like water, snacks, and a first-aid kit. Check the weather forecast and road conditions before departure. Plan regular stops to rest and enjoy scenic viewpoints. If heading to national parks, carry appropriate gear and check park regulations. Don't forget to bring a physical map as a backup to GPS, especially in areas with potentially poor mobile reception. Lastly, allow extra time for unexpected discoveries along the way, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
