Do I need to warm up the car in the winter before driving?
All vehicles need to be started and left to idle for several minutes (depending on the severity of the cold) in the winter prior to driving.
You should leave the vehicle turned on, idling, until the engine temperature gauge shows 80° (aproximatly mid range)
Warming up the car prior to utilization incresases performance, handling, and safety anddecreases the chance of any mechanical failures.
Please take the extra couple of minutes to warm up the car prior to use.
