Such is standard within the car rental service sector. We will try our hardest to hold specific vehicles for specific reservations but we cannot and will not 100% guarantee a specific vehicle will be given at any time** *Only $1,000,000 third party insurance Insurance is included in the daily rate, Collision and theft insurance not included, If you don't have CDW(collision damage waiver) on your coverage such as credit card CDW, would be extra 20$ a day. There is $300-1000 deductible No pets no smoking Business hours: 9:30-18:00 Is there a deposit? There will be a $500-$1000 Pre Authorization on your credit card. Depending on your own coverage What documents are needed at the time of pickup? Valid drivers license and a major credit card **Disclaimer** The renter must present a FULL credit card under the same name as the renter at the time of pickup for the use of a security deposit. The security deposit will be done as a $500 to $1000 pre-authorization and will be released once the vehicle that has been rented is returned. If a VALID FULL credit card with the same name as the renter is not presented at the time of rental, the rental will be declined.

This is the response for the one star review made by Bowdy M. On Feb 6th Bowdy make a reservation for renting the Civic form Mar 5th 10:30 AM - Mar 12th 1:30PM On Mar 4th 9:30 evening i got his phone call telling me that he had landed, need the car now. I was totally caught off guard because he DID NOT make the trip change from Mar 5th to Mar 4th, and on Turo's guideline it is very clear that our business hour 9:30AM to 6:00 PM. But anyway I immediately dragged myself out of my house in dark cold night and drove 1 hour back to office to deliver the car. When I got back to my office, Bowdy was not willing to pay one more day rent which was $40. I was surprised because now you pick up the car on March 4th not 5th, every car rental company would be one day more, Eventually he paid $40. When he returned the car, he gave us one star rating for this $40. The reason why he didn’t change the trip pickup time on Turo was he was thinking changing the pickup time would cost $40(Turo will automatically charge one more day), picking up the car 12 hours earlier would save some money. That night when I got back my house it was 11:45 PM, you think I spent whole night away my family just to make extra $40? Anything I mentioned above we have documents to support. What a nightmare. I had scheduled this car for my trip weeks in advance. I contacted the owner and asked how we could get to our car from the airport. He said he would pick us up there, after we got our bags. I reiterated that our flight was going to be landing late at night, and he said it would be no problem, just to call him when we land. When we landed, we called him and he didn’t pick up. After trying for 20 minutes, he answers and tells me that he can’t pick us up and that he would cancel our reservation, so we could rent a car at the airport. I told him I didn’t want to do that, and he said the only option was get the car in the morning. We were stranded at the airport. Thinking about having to sleep at the airport, I pleaded with him to come and pick us up. He said he would compromise and meet us at the rental facility. He told us to get a taxi over there, which was $20 more than we should have spent, as he confirmed that he would pick us up for free. We get to the rental place, and he tells us that if we want to pickup the car, we would have to pay more money. After explaining the situation, he didn’t budge. So we had to paid an additional $40 to pickup the car. The whole process took two and a half hours to get this car, and an additional $60 more than what was listed on Turo. I wouldn’t recommend Carboy Motors for anyone trying to rent a vehicle. Completely unacceptable.

Great experience with the car. The staff when we dropped off weren’t very friendly but the original man who helped us fill out paperwork for the car was great and answered all our questions. Car was clean, suitable and exactly what we needed. Thank you!
