Living large in Sin City<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re looking to rent from a veteran Turo host in Las Vegas, there is no one more experienced than <\/span>Edmund C.<\/span><\/a> Over the three years Ed has been sharing cars on Turo, he has completed over 1,300 trips, fueling responsible and (reasonably) debaucherous adventures alike in the City of Lights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ed went to high school and college in Las Vegas, and has easily lived there long enough to call it home. He knows the lay of the land and he\u2019s seen some things, but today he is in the real estate business and balancing hosting duties with raising his young family \u2014 more than enough jobs for two lesser men.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Turo, Ed was hosting early in the game and quickly gained a strong foothold in the Vegas market. As many big car enthusiasts do, Ed finesses his earnings from Turo into a fleet of cars he wouldn\u2019t otherwise have access to. He has eclectic tastes and keeps everything from hybrids to supercars<\/a>, but everything is luxurious and well-kept. \u201cAnything with four wheels, I like,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n

His most popular vehicle is a <\/span>2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet<\/span><\/a>, Turo’s number one car in all of Las Vegas with over 330 trips completed. Since Ed bought the drop-top 911, he and his guests have put 60,000 miles on it without a single mechanical issue. \u201cIt\u2019s a pretty darn reliable car,\u201d says Ed. The 400-hp tanning salon has only required routine upkeep like oil changes, brakes, and tires. Not bad for a convertible that can hit 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ed also offers a handful of luxury SUVs for the larger groups and families that visit his neon oasis. A <\/span>Lexus GX<\/span>, <\/span>BMW X1<\/span>, <\/span>Tesla Model X<\/span>, and most recently, a <\/span>Maserati Levante<\/span> keep visitors nice and comfortable in the sweltering desert heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ed\u2019s most exciting car, however, is <\/span>his Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT<\/span><\/a>. In addition to Aston\u2019s throaty 4.7L V8, this sleek coupe rocks the GT package inspired by the GTE and GT4 racing Vantages. A lightened body, stiffer suspension, and tasteful exterior graphics make Ed\u2019s Vantage GT a worthy expression of the Aston Martin heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

He takes it on a good drive every week to keep up the battery \u2014 an onerous chore no doubt. With a stripped-out interior and hydraulic steering, the V8 GT is the Vantage in its rawest form. Out of the 12 vehicles Ed currently has listed, the Aston is his favorite car. \u201cOr the Prius. I drive the Prius a lot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ed treats his cars as personal cars, because, well, they are. \u201cI don\u2019t see my cars as rental cars,\u201d he says. \u201cI always take them to the dealership to get serviced, and I only hand wash them.\u201d He pays strong attention to the condition of his cars, not only for his guests but for the cars\u2019 own sake. It doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s the Porsche or the Prius, he takes good care of them all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of Ed\u2019s guests stick to the strip, but the road out to Hoover Dam is a nice scenic drive. Ed reckons his 911 cabrio is the perfect car to visit the dam, and he encourages any of his guests with an extra morning in their stay to cruise out there.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Ed says that \u201cfor a sports car, the best drive around Las Vegas is through Red Rock.\u201d Red Rock Canyon\u2019s Scenic Loop is a popular destination less than a half hour\u2019s drive from the strip. It offers beautiful views in any direction and is a prime place for capturing the colorful desert mountains, as seen in most of the photos in Ed\u2019s listings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Las Vegas is a small town, and Ed regularly sees his cars around, especially on the strip.
