We\u2019re huge advocates of adventure, but sometimes, to keep things interesting, we need to find the adventure in the everyday. <\/span><\/p>\n

Turo member and Travelogue contributor John C. recently opened up a new office and needed to deck it out with some furniture and cool tchotchkes to start settling in.<\/p>\n

Instead of sidling up to Ikea or ordering a bunch of lackluster office furniture online, he rented David\u2019s Toyota Tacoma pickup, loaded up \u00a0his colleagues, and went antique hunting in Oakland, CA, to find some new digs that would really\u00a0make the office feel unique and homey.<\/span><\/p>\n

They poked around the Temescal neighborhood first, then grabbed some fried chicken sandwiches to eat by the bayshore.<\/span><\/p>\n

They also combed Berkeley\u2019s mid-century vintage stores for chairs and interesting accent pieces.<\/p>\n

Taking the time to find interesting pieces that would make their new office space feel comfortable and special, John and his crew had a productive, weekday adventure just by thinking outside the big box and taking some initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n
