The Corvette is the quintessential American supercar. Although the Vette has performance chops that rival exotics like the Porsche 911 GT3<\/a> and Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n<\/a>, the roadster is truly focused on performance rather than ultimate luxury, making it more affordable to book. The newest generation Corvette debuted in 2020<\/a> with a mid-engine format and an entirely new V8 engine with 495 hp and a sub-three second zero-to-60 mph time. Let\u2019s put that in perspective. The Z06 can propel you forward at 1.22 lateral g-force, similar to that of Tesla\u2019s Model S Plaid. An ultra-responsive dual clutch transmission also provides quick shifting and more customizability for the driver, enabling you to reach high speeds even quicker. And with 460 lb-ft of torque and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, the Z06 also hugs corners with finesse. Yet, what you\u2019ll notice most is the engine growl. Chevy engineers spent countless hours fine-tuning its roar, which sounds more like a ferocious living beast than anything man-made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the year, this beast will have a hybrid sibling: the E-Ray. As a result, this newest Z06 has been freed to focus purely on performance, while the E-Ray will be the other top-rung Corvette for drivers looking more for a grand tourer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
