The X4 M is a strange-looking thing. It sits somewhere between an SUV and sports sedan, is as quick as the decorated M3<\/a>, and has aggressive cornering performance to match its sloping roof line. Ramiro\u2019s 2023 X4 M is in the Competition trim, which makes 503 horsepower from its twin-turbo inline-six (30 more than the regular X4 M). It\u2019s a rolling contradiction that somehow manages to shine through a mix of would-be compromises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all its impressive athleticism, this car\u2019s still capable of delivering on traditional SUV duties \u2014 all-wheel drive, a tall seating position, and solid ground clearance make it a fine choice for Canadian winters. Plus you get the premium interior of a brand-new BMW. Is a 500-horsepower BMW M car<\/a> the number one most appropriate option for winter trips in Alberta? Perhaps not \u2014 the power isn\u2019t necessary in the snow, and BMW has roomier SUVs to choose from. But this car has snow tires and all-wheel drive, making it a super fun, over-the-top option for winter driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
