In recent years, it\u2019s become easy to question the future of the supercar and traditional car enthusiasm<\/a> in the face of electrification and automation. All the old-guard performance brands have begun building SUVs<\/a>, begrudgingly betraying their purist tendencies to meet consumer demand (even Ferrari is planning an SUV for 2022!). But the bread and butter for these exclusive manufacturers are supercars infused with racing-developed tech \u2014 the cars that turn heads and inspire kids. The ones that cause a reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In celebration of the Italian automotive spirit, we rounded up a handful of the most exciting cars from Italy\u2019s most storied brands. Without further ado, here are 11 Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Maseratis available on Turo right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lamborghini\u2019s current flagship is instantly recognizable for its sleek fighter-jet appearance. The Aventador is all angles and aggression, powered by Lambo\u2019s famous V12 to the tune of around 700 horsepower. This example\u2019s satin finish gives it a muted sinister edge, but even so it\u2019s nowhere close to subtle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wow. There\u2019s a whole lot to say about the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. For starters, it\u2019s the quickest Lambo ever and the current Nurburgring production lap record holder<\/a>! Based on the already ludicrous Aventador SV<\/a>, the SVJ (Superveloce Jota) is the ultimate track-focused version of the Aventador, with increased power and a whole lot of aerodynamic improvements over the \u201cstandard\u201d Aventador. It\u2019s impossible to overstate how incredibly special this historic vehicle is \u2014 it\u2019s one of just 900 SVJ coupes built. Nobody does ostentatious firebending road cars like Lambo, and there\u2019s no Lambo like the SVJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lamborghini\u2019s big V12-powered flagships may get most of the glory, but the smaller Hurac\u00e1n<\/a> more than pulls its weight for the fighting bull. This 2019 Hurac\u00e1n Spyder has a two-tone Halloween treatment, in case the roaring V10 doesn\u2019t catch your attention. By Lambo standards, the Hurac\u00e1n is also reasonably comfortable for rumbling around Beverly Hills or Miami Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Hurac\u00e1n\u2019s predecessor was a huge hit for Lamborghini<\/a>. In the early 2000s, they sold more Gallardos than all other Lamborghinis produced, ever. As this blacked-out 2008 Gallardo Spyder shows, the Gallardo\u2019s design is aging magnificently. And with the top down, you can experience all the Lambo drama in open-air theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the mid-\u201990s, the Ferrari 348 Spider<\/a> was the <\/em>exotic convertible to own. The Pininfarina-styled body took cues from the famous Testarossa<\/a>, highlighted by those groovy side strakes and pop-up headlights. 320-horsepower Ferrari V8, manual gated shifter, yellow paint, infinite headroom\u2026 what\u2019s not to like?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each successive V8-powered super sports car from Ferrari<\/a> seems to set the bar for the rest of the industry, and the 488 is no exception. Like the 458 and F430 before it, the Ferrari 488 GTB (this one a Spider) is a masterclass in doing everything to the highest degree. The quality of the handcrafted interior is in-your-face exquisite, the performance is off the charts, and at the end of the day, there\u2019s nothing quite like driving a red convertible Ferrari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another very special one. The Ferrari 488 Pista is the track-focused version of the 488 GTB (Pista means \u201ctrack\u201d in Italian), dropping almost 200 pounds and gaining 50 horsepower over the base version. Over half the parts in the Pista\u2019s V8 are upgraded over the regular 488, and the result is 710 horsepower \u2014 the most powerful V8 engine ever made by Ferrari. The Pista has all sorts of aerodynamic improvements as well to increase cooling and downforce, the most noticeable being the carbon fiber bumper that directs air over the hood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the most powerful series production car ever to come out of Maranello. At max RPM, its V12 bellows out a laughably impressive 800 horsepower, and all the performance stats back that up. Despite the world-moving power, this is a front-engined, rear-wheel drive grand tourer that\u2019s perfectly happy with weekend trips and highway commutes, though at a brisker pace than usual. Ferrari\u2019s technical wizardry keeps all systems in the green while you sit back and enjoy your V12 GT car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The F430 was yet another gem from Ferrari and a lauded addition to their lineage of mid-engined V8 supercars. 11 years after its discontinuation, the F430\u2019s style is aging with extreme grace. This 2006 example is in classic Rosso Corsa paint, a perfect compliment to its 4.3L V8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For over a decade and a half, the sleek GranTurismo has been the most evocative model in the Maserati lineup<\/a>. This super-GT positively oozes style, with delicious details adorning its nearly perfectly proportioned shape. This GranTurismo convertible turns the looks up to 11 with a gold finish, so you\u2019ll never ever lose this car in the parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This late-year GranTurismo is an MC, the GT\u2019s top trim. Under the hood, a 4.7L V8 co-developed with Ferrari gives the GT plenty of life, and the MC\u2019s added intakes give it an even more aggressive vibe.
