Making sure your kids actually tune in to their virtual schooling can only fill so much time, so we’re bringing you a moment of zen each week in the form of some of our most favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.

The term “land yacht” should be strictly reserved for describing ‘70s Cadillacs. This 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is as giant and lumbering as cars come. It’s as long as a modern Chevy Suburban and weighs more than a Hummer H3. If you look closely at the front and back corners, you’ll see that the car’s body ends, then Cadillac added even more car onto that. Even the engine is gargantuan: a 8.2-liter V8 choked by ‘70s emissions restrictions so that barely produces 200 horsepower. But behind the wheel of this behemoth, you’re in no hurry anyway.

Cadillac really was the pinnacle of luxury at the time. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more comfortable place to sit. There’s a couch in the back and a couch in the front — complete with a round cushion for the armrest. The interior has a generous amount of wood paneling, and — perhaps the most ‘70s feature of the car — four separate ashtrays (remember, smoking is prohibited in any car booked on Turo).

Stave off boredom with these pretty pictures Bored in the house?
