These are exciting times for the automotive industry \u2014 from self-driving cars to burgeoning startups to the much-hyped, super-souped electric vehicle market, the world is not short on car talk. Here\u2019s this week\u2019s highlights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uber goes autonomous in Pittsburgh<\/span><\/h3>\n

Last week, Uber announced that it had begun <\/span>testing a self-driving Ford Fusion<\/span><\/a> on the streets of Pittsburgh, PA. The Fusion is decked out with radar, lasers, and cameras, and \u201cwill be collecting road-mapping data as well as testing its real world traffic reactions,\u201d <\/span>according to USA today<\/span><\/a>. All Pittsburgh-based drivers and pedestrians: keep an eye peeled for the autonomous hybrid and (perhaps) give it a wide berth as it learns the ropes.<\/span><\/p>\n

2017 debuts for Alfa Romeo & McLaren<\/span><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio<\/span><\/a> got its first drive review from Car and Driver. Long story short: \u201cit\u2019s good\u201d, reports Mike Duff, who also recently got to take the <\/span>2017 McLaren 570GT<\/span><\/a> for a spin. Pretty sweet gig.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wyper app is Tinder for cars<\/span><\/h3>\n

Wyper<\/span><\/a>, an iOS and Android app marketing itself as \u201cTinder for\u00a0car shopping\u201d, recently launched out of its beta phase and into the broader US market. Like Tinder, you swipe left when you\u2019re not interested, and right when you\u2019re digging it. The goal? \u201cWe want you to find the perfect car that you want,\u201d creator Aaron Rosenthal told TechCrunch<\/a>. \u201cDon\u2019t settle.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
