Electric vehicles are here to stay, especially as more automakers continue to invest in the production of new and exciting models. While there are currently a handful of performance-oriented EV SUVs<\/a> on sale right now, it\u2019s the vehicles on deck that will really charge up the segment.<\/a> Let\u2019s take a look at the all-electric SUVs and trucks soon to hit the streets and cause the naysayers to rethink electrification of the automobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford Mustang Mach-E<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A bold move for Ford<\/a>, the Mach-E is an electric crossover meant for the masses. Taking styling cues from the famous pony car it shares its name with, the Mach-E transforms the iconic Mustang into a fastback four-door crossover. With orders for the Launch Edition already sold out, the Mach-E is scheduled to hit showrooms in late 2020 in a variety of trims, including an all-wheel drive GT model good for 459 horsepower and a colossal 612 lb-ft of torque that will make the American Muscle fans proud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s no denying the Tesla Cybertruck looks like it was taken from the pages of science fiction. The sharp angles, stainless steel body, and large size ensure that the Cybertruck won\u2019t be mistaken for any other vehicle on the road. Once the Cybertruck is production-ready, it will come with adaptive air suspension, Tesla<\/a> Autopilot, and even a bed that can be converted into a camper setup. If that\u2019s not enough to pique your interest, Tesla says the top of the line Tri Motor model will be able to tow upwards of 14,000 pounds and hit 60 mph in under 3 seconds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While many all-electric vehicles focus on modern styling cues, the Bollinger B1 captures the spirit of retro off-roaders thanks to its old school boxy SUV proportions. With dual motors capable of a combined output of 614 horsepower and 668 ft-lb of torque, the Bollinger will have plenty of grunt to get through the most rugged of terrains. In addition to the stout performance, the B1 is surprisingly practical due to its unique cargo area configuration. Not only does the interior offer loads of space, but the Bollinger features a front compartment with a passthrough that adds even more versatility to what you pack for your next weekend adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to luxury automobiles, Mercedes-Benz<\/a> has always set a high standard for quality. As part of the move towards all-electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQC. All-wheel drive and capable of a combined output of 410 horsepower, the EQC proves that performance and evolution do not have to be mutually exclusive. Since Mercedes-Benz also prides itself on safety, the EQC can be had with the latest driver aid technology, such as active blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rivian R1T<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another new name to the list of automakers, the Rivian R1T is an all-electric truck that combines rugged utility with the latest in vehicle styling. Adaptive air suspension and sealed electronics make the R1T is ready for just about any challenge, which includes the ability to wade through at least 3 feet of water. The top of the line R1T plans to have over 400 miles worth of range and seriously potent stats to the tune of 750 horsepower with an 11,000 lb. towing capacity.
