Saimah, now 29, has spent the past four years using Turo to be her own boss. A few months later, she added a Mini Cooper, which performed even better. \u201cMy credit score was stellar at that point, so I started looking for a car that I really wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n Saimah’s 2017 Chevrolet Corvette<\/p><\/div>\n Saimah sprang for a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. \u201cIt was a gigantic upgrade, my first big \u2018wow\u2019 moment.\u201d As she watched the money roll in, she crunched the numbers and realized that she could turn her Turo business into a full-time gig.<\/p>\n \u201cI enjoy competing in the marketplace,\u201d Saimah says. \u201cI\u2019m really aggressive with my listing and pricing, so my cars usually don\u2019t sit for more than a day or two. And the best part is meeting guests and seeing the expression on their faces when they come to pick up a cool car \u2014 they really flip out!<\/p>\n Today, Saimah\u2019s a top-performing All-Star Host, with 2,100 completed trips and an impressive stable of vehicles, including multiple BMWs, a Tesla Model S<\/span>, and a pair of three-wheelers. \u201cPeople love my <\/span>Polaris Slingshot<\/span> and <\/span>Vanderhall Venice<\/span> because they\u2019re so unique. <\/span> The Venice is a real head-turner: it looks classic, but drives like a modern car. I love seeing the expressions on people\u2019s faces when they come to pick it up \u2014 they really flip out!\u201d<\/p>\n But Saimah\u2019s crown jewel is, of course, one of her newer Corvettes, a white 2017 Stingray<\/span>. The car\u2019s hosted a whopping 180 trips, and continues to be her most-booked vehicle, with a diverse set of guests. \u201cAs of late, I get a lot of women booking this car. Me being female helps them know that they can drive it too!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s usually men that drive Corvettes, but I swear, they\u2019re made for women,\u201d she attests. \u201cI\u2019ve sat in countless cars, all different types, and I\u2019ve never been in one that fits a woman so well. It\u2019s so snug, and the line of sight and visibility are perfect for me.\u201d<\/p>\n You don\u2019t need the hottest cars to find success on Turo, however. <\/span>Saimah\u2019s biggest piece of advice for aspiring hosts is to focus on the guest experience. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter what kind of car you have. You have to understand that people are willing to pay for a good travel experience.\u201d<\/p>\n And she would know!
