JEBEL HAFEET MOUNTAIN ROAD<\/span><\/h4>\n

The road snaking up the Emirates\u2019 second-highest mountain, Jebel Hafeet, is commonly regarded as the UAE\u2019s best driving road. The seven-mile, 3,900-foot climb was once called the greatest driving road in the world by Edmunds.com. Sixty turns of smooth asphalt lead to Jebel Hafeet\u2019s summit, where a palace belonging to the country\u2019s rulers roosts among the rocks. This is an incredible strip of asphalt \u2014 every driving enthusiast who visits the UAE should try to pay Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road a visit.<\/span><\/p>\n

AL TAWEEN<\/span><\/h4>\n

Hidden in the Hajar Mountains lies Al Taween Road. It\u2019s a lesser-known and somewhat-hidden road starting deep in the mountain range, and its seclusion is a big part of the appeal. Steep grades and sharp turns require a capable car and demand your focus. Towards the top of Al Taween, you\u2019re rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding rugged mountain ranges with few others to spoil the beauty.<\/span><\/p>\n

JEBEL JAIS MOUNTAIN ROAD<\/span><\/h4>\n

At over 6,300 feet, Jebel al Jais is the tallest mountain in the UAE. The brand-new road twisting up the mountain leads to literally nowhere. But the destination isn\u2019t the draw \u2014 enthusiasts flock to the road for its snaking switchbacks, hairpin turns, and consistent breathtaking views. The top portion of Jebel Jais Mountain Road is still under construction, so you can\u2019t yet reach the summit, but once completed the road will culminate at a planned luxury hotel.<\/span><\/p>\n

LIWA OASIS<\/span><\/h4>\n

The road from Liwa Oasis to Al Ain runs through the Rub al Khali Desert, also known as the Empty Quarter, in the south part of the UAE. This road has no thrilling turns or mountaintop views; instead, you drive through a vast expanse of rolling sand dunes with a charm all their own. Adam recommends this road to enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert\u2019s shifting sands.<\/span><\/p>\n

FUJAIRAH MOUNTAIN ROAD<\/span><\/h4>\n

This road is one of the oldest routes connecting the two coasts of the UAE. From Dubai, you can take the Sharjah-Kalba road to reach the Fujairah Mountain Road, which takes you through the Hajar Mountain range. After some cruising over sand dunes, past oases, and through the mountains, the route finishes at the coastal town Fujairah where you can explore the famous Friday market to find anything from pottery to tapestries.<\/span><\/p>\n
