Turo host Neill shares his story

For Turo host Neill F, sharing his car in the bustling metropolis of London was a no-brainer. The car enthusiast and proud owner of a 2016 Jaguar XE R-Sport, Neill quickly found Turo to be a great way of offsetting the costs of owning his car.

“Especially with a car like a Jaguar, there are lots of costs, for example, new tyres — it’s all very expensive to maintain,” he says. “However, within the first month, I made over £500 from just four bookings!”

The 340-hp Jag has proved a hit with the Turo community. Neill has received 100% five-star reviews and has had guests book his car for birthdays, weddings, and weekend retreats.

Neill on how he started sharing his car

Neill is the first to admit he required a little background research before taking a leap of faith and listing his car.

“My first concerns when joining Turo were about how the car would be insured. I got past that when I discovered Turo’s insurance was very transparent — it showed you all your policies and what you had to do to adhere to their policies. It is very easy to follow. Turo takes care of all the insurance paperwork and they process all your claims through the insurance company. The communication is great and you don’t have to worry about anything as a customer.”
