Welcome to the first issue of the seasonal release, a quarterly roundup of recent host improvements and changes for Turo hosts, and a sneak peek of what’s coming up!

Introducing dynamic pricing to help maximize your earnings

Starting later this summer, it will be easier for all Turo hosts to price competitively and maximize their earnings, thanks to dynamic pricing, a new and improved pricing algorithm that will replace Automatic Pricing.

Designed by our data scientists, dynamic pricing will continually adjust your prices based on local market data and other factors. Once dynamic pricing has launched, all hosts will see their prices updated to the dynamic pricing recommendations tailored to each vehicle. Rest assured, you’ll still be in control. While dynamic pricing will be the new default price, you’ll be able to change prices using the calendar in the “Trips” tab to fit your utilization goals. We’ll give you plenty of advance notice before this change happens.

Current pricing experience

Dynamic pricing and price adjustments will be viewed and managed on the calendar

As part of this update, the vehicle calendar will be removed, and instead, the calendar in the “Trips” tab will offer a centralized place to manage your entire portfolio, including viewing dynamic pricing, and managing pricing, trips, and vehicle availability.

Automate your Tesla charging reimbursements

Hosts with Tesla vehicles can now easily review their guests’ supercharging sessions and request reimbursement, right from the Turo app, saving time and energy. Connect your Tesla account to Turo today to try it out.

New permissions for your hosting teams

Now hosts can give their co-hosts permission to manage pricing and availability as well as trips.

When you invite your co-hosts to a hosting team, they can use their own logins to access the info they need while keeping your sensitive info private.

Co-hosts can be anyone who helps you run your business, such as friends, family members, employees, or other Turo hosts.

Recently launched

Changes to towing fees
Due to an increase in administration fees, starting May 23, if your vehicle needs to be towed due to a maintenance issue or wear and tear, Turo will charge the host $350 instead of $200 for towing or transport costs. Please keep your cars well maintained so they’re safe for your guests.

Updated policy for classic and specialty vehicles
If you have a very unique vehicle, check out the new, clearer guidelines about listing classic, specialty, and imported vehicles.

Tire policy updates
Over the winter, we made two tire policy updates to help make sure your vehicles meet safety expectations:
Tire maintenance issues, such as bald tires, are strictly prohibited, and offending hosts may be removed from the platform.
• Vehicles claiming to have snow tires must have the snowflake symbol known as the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation or the host may be penalized.

Incident information card
Friendly reminder that the current incident information card needs to be in your glove box along with your proof of insurance. The incident info card was updated in February and expires on February 1, 2025.

Earn more with Extras
You can now offer your guests four new Extras: booster seat, stand-up paddle board, beach wagon, and fresh flowers. Keep 90% of earnings from any of the 50+ Extras your guests purchase.

Customize your pickup and return hours
Now you can set unique pickup and return hours for your home and delivery locations, to better work with your schedule.

Down the road

New safety requirements after tire issues
Starting July 1, if your vehicle is restricted due to a tire-related issue, you’ll need to provide proof that:
• The damaged tire was replaced or appropriately repaired
• The vehicle’s other tires all have a tread depth of at least 4/32″ and are no more than 6 years old
