Take a break with these pretty pictures
Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Bronco has been wildly popular, even beloved, since its revival in 2021. So much so that Ford quickly added a Raptor trim the next year, inspired by the high-performance, F-150-based Raptor truck. The Raptor moniker turns everything up to eleven: beefy equipment meant for Baja-style off-road racing, more power, and a brassy, masculine look. And that’s what you get with KC’s Ford Bronco Raptor here.

This beast is big, it’s loud, and looks like it could go anywhere — and that’s because it (almost) can. Giant 37-inch tires, an armored underside, and suspension set up for desert racing give the Bronco Raptor elite off-road talent (keep in mind, off-roading is prohibited with cars on Turo). It offers a bevy of terrain modes for navigating different surfaces, plus comes with a bigger engine. While the regular Bronco’s top trim can manage 330 horsepower, the Raptor’s turbocharged 3.0L V6 boasts 418 horses, which is plenty to get this big Bronco bucking.
This example is in the sleek and rather subdued Shelter Green color, which extends to the the super wide fenders that come on the Raptor. It also has the Code Orange package that gives us the shouty Raptor graphics, which, if you’re going to have a Raptor, might as well make noise about it, right?
In most instances, the Bronco Raptor is fiercely overqualified, but that doesn’t really matter. It’s the baddest Bronco there is and lets you know about it, and that’s at least half of the fun.
