Take a break with these pretty pictures

Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.

After a five-year hiatus, Maserati has brought back their luxurious grand tourer — the GranTurismo. The 2024 GranTurismo is all-new but is more of an evolution of the previous model — extraordinarily seductive bodywork, a luxurious cabin, and an exotic badge topping off genuine sports car performance. As with many top-level grand touring cars, the GT melds dual personalities, offering both raucous performance and comfort fit for long road trips.

The model can be had in two trims — 483 hp in the entry-level Modena, and 542 Italian horses in the Trofeo — JPaul’s car here is the Trofeo. Both trims use a detuned version of the twin-turbo V6 found in Maserati’s more race-focused MC20. The two-faced identity is again on display with this engine — a rich and sonorous character with a blistering 3.2-second 60 sprint also pulls off quiet and comfortable cruising.

As Ferrari’s less-celebrated sibling, Maserati has been wrestling to re-solidify their identity in recent years. The rebirth of the extremely evocative GranTurismo is a big move for the exotic carmaker. The GT’s undeniable sex appeal, Italian heritage, and positively sumptuous interior make it an enticing and unconventional choice. Take JPaul’s Maserati for a cruise around Miami for a very special time!
