More memories, more Dreams
We are very pleased to announce we’re expanding our partnership with Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally ill adults, by doubling our commitment to fulfilling lifelong Dreams.
Dream Foundation serves terminally ill adults and their families by fulfilling end-of-life Dreams that offer inspiration, comfort, and closure. With the help of their nationwide community of volunteers, Dream Foundation has been able to connect people and make memories for over 34,000 Dreams since being founded in 1994.
“I am honored that we get to work with Dream Foundation on such an amazing cause,” said Turo CEO Andre Haddad. “Finding the perfect car can help transform a journey into a lasting memory, and I am so happy that our community can continue to help turn Dreams into a reality.”
Since 2019, Turo has worked alongside Dream Foundation to assist with car travel — Turo hosts have provided cars for over 65 Dream recipients to date, facilitating comfortable, safe, and happy journeys. Last August, we shared the experience of Amber, a 40-year-old wife and mother who was able to visit Disneyland — a family tradition — with the help of Turo host Bassem’s Chevy Tahoe. And earlier this year, Ohio resident Dean was able to explore Northern California’s redwood trees, San Francisco’s city splendor, and the Pacific Ocean for the first time with his wife.
We are honored to help even more experiences like Amber’s and Dean’s come to fruition, and proud to play a small part in making big differences in the lives of Dream recipients around the country.
“Nearly 60% of Dream requests involve travel of some kind. Ensuring that Dream recipients have the kind of safe, comfortable and convenient way of traveling that Turo provides plays a major part of the Dream experience,” says Dream Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Kisa Heyer. “Turo’s support means that we can make even more Dreams come true for even more Dream recipients and their families.”
How to get involved
Turo hosts can help provide cars and even donate trips to Dream recipients in need of transportation. If you or a loved one might be interested in support from Dream Foundation with fulfilling an end-of-life Dream, please don’t hesitate to apply through the button below. Dream recipients must be United States or Puerto Rico residents, be at least 18 years old, have a life expectancy of 12 months or less, and lack the resources to achieve their Dream on their own.
