Celebrating the Turo Canada community from coast to coast

After two years parked in place, Turo’s in-person events made a comeback with this year’s Host-to-Coast community parties! We invited the top hosts and guests across Canada to celebrate their local community of car sharing pioneers. It was great to catch up with everyone after so long.

Highlights of each event included a business trends presentation, celebrating hosts with special shoutouts, exclusive swag, and of course, free food and drinks! Hosts met the Turo team at engaging themed booths and got the latest insights on customer service, claims, PR, and host success. The community snapped some free headshots to boost their Turo profiles and connected with our partner, CrashBay, about keeping on top of their car care game.

Turning up the heat in Toronto

We kicked off Host-to-Coast this summer in Toronto’s Leaside neighborhood, inviting the Turo community to cruise down the Don Valley Parkway and join us at RCLUB, a car enthusiast clubhouse. An impressive showcase of vehicles set the scene and got our engines revving. Attendees stoked some friendly competition going head-to-head in RCLUB’s racing simulator room and beat the heat with scrumptious ice cream sandwiches.

Our hosts came prepared with a stylish lineup of cars including Joe C.’s 2021 Chevrolet Camaro and Eric B.’s 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE. For our panel discussion, “Driving 5-star experiences”, hosts Michelle B. and Victor I. and guest Thanusan W. shared strategies with the community for nailing a perfect rating.

Hitting the sweet spot in Vancouver

In September, we headed west for our Vancouver community party, where we enjoyed West Coast vibes with gorgeous outdoor views from Burnaby’s Riverway Clubhouse. Our hosts made a statement with a stunning display of exotic and luxury cars including Daniel D.’s 2019 Porsche 718, Zhen Y.’s 2021 Ford Mustang, Ty K.’s 2016 Chevrolet Corvette, and Oakley C.’s 2016 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The community celebrated milestones like record earnings for hosts and indulged in countless cupcakes!

Celebrating the wins in Calgary

When October rolled around, we invited our Calgary community to the Hemingway Room — historic Inglewood on one side, Stampede grounds on the other! Parked outside the venue, Lanny B.’s 2021 Corvette and Shawn G.’s 2022 Tesla Model S gave the community a bold welcome.

Attendees tested their Turo and car knowledge with an exciting round of trivia and contributed their voices to the community feedback wall, sharing their thoughts and personal milestones. During the presentation, Haitao W., the host with the most vehicles on Turo in Calgary, stepped up to share his inspiring story.

Crossing the finish line in Montreal

Finally, this year’s events wrapped up with the Montreal community party at Dock619 in Longueuil. The energy on the South Shore was buzzing, and the hosts brought a slick vehicle showcase including Philippe D.’s Toyota 86, Zitao Z.’s Toyota Supra, and Maxime M.’s Ford Mustang.

The VR racing simulator and trivia challenge dialed up the excitement and had everyone laughing through the evening. For dessert, attendees enjoyed the marshmallow roasting station. We also reconnected with Philipp B., a true veteran host who shared his journey with us.

A big thanks to everyone who came to these long overdue events! It was so much fun to catch up, meet new people, and see the hosts and guests bonding as a community and sharing valuable insights. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
