Visiting Prince Edward Island is like stepping into a fairytale. Known for dreamy coastlines, tasty oysters, and the legacy of Anne of Green Gables, the province is an enchanting destination with so much to do and explore. Our team of four was there shooting content for the PEI tourism board, but we couldn\u2019t resist extending the trip to experience more of the island\u2019s magic. Upon arrival in Charlottetown, we picked up Joshua\u2019s Toyota RAV4<\/a> straight from the airport and started our trip with an afternoon by grabbing a bite at Leonhard\u2019s Cafe, a popular local spot offering tasty soups and sandwiches. We walked off lunch along the beautiful waterfront boardwalks, soaking up the ocean view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\t

After our stroll, it was time to hit the road to St Peters Bay. Since car rental and taxi options are limited on the island, booking a vehicle with Turo was the obvious choice, especially since the four of us had plenty of luggage. The roomy SUV we chose was perfect, and the option to add extra drivers kept us refreshed and balanced the trip. For the next three days, we based ourselves at Mysa, a tranquil Nordic spa retreat \u2014 the only one of its kind on the island. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEI is renowned for its seafood, especially oysters. We visited plenty of local restaurants in St Peters Bay and even went to an oyster tasting where we tried twelve varieties, each one better than the last. In the end, Original Richard\u2019s in Green Gables was our favourite lunch stop. Their lobster rolls and oysters are must-tries for anyone visiting PEI!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next stop was Greenwich, located in Prince Edward Island National Park. This is where some of PEI\u2019s most recognizable and jaw-dropping scenery can be found, including pristine white sand beaches, boardwalks that stretch for miles, and the province\u2019s largest sand dunes. Swimming and relaxing here was blissful, and the definite highlight of our trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No trip to PEI is complete without a visit to the Green Gables region. There is so much to see and do here, and we visited a local art gallery, golf course, and of course the breathtaking beaches. Our home for three days was Dalvay by the Sea, a historical building-turned-inn that was used to film two adaptations of the beloved Anne of Green Gables books. Staying here really felt like we\u2019d taken a step back in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hit the road one last time and wrapped up our stay with a night in Charlottetown, bidding farewell to the Cradle of Confederation over dinner and cocktails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
