Shifting airport pricing to meet demand<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Airport delivery offers guests the convenience and vehicle selection that\u2019s not available from a traditional rental car counter. But for airport delivery to be a practical alternative for guests, the total cost of the trip has to be in line with what they\u2019re willing to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, hosts can charge up to $120 for airport delivery, but a majority of guests are booking vehicles that have free or lower-priced airport delivery. Hosts who are charging high delivery fees are missing out on a significant amount of guest demand and potential bookings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed with each airport in mind<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new maximum fee will be calculated for each airport individually to account for local supply, demand, and booking trends. Let\u2019s take a look at Calgary International Airport (YYC) as an example. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, vehicles with a delivery fee under $80 accounted for 85% of the total trip days at YYC, while vehicles with higher delivery fees saw much less guest demand. Lowering the maximum delivery fee to $80 at YYC will help hosts tap into the delivery fee range where demand is the highest, driving airport business growth for local hosts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review and update your airport delivery fees<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Lowering your airport delivery fees now can help you take advantage of increased demand and get more airport bookings. On April 15th, any vehicles with a delivery fee to YYC over $80 will either be moved to the new $80 maximum, or in some cases airport delivery will be turned off.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For hosts who deliver to other impacted airports, we\u2019ll notify you two weeks before the update so you can review the new maximum delivery fee and adjust your delivery settings to fit your business goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
