Dreaming of the open road? Introducing Pitch a Trip, a program designed by Turo to help everyday Canadians and aspiring content creators turn their road trip dreams into reality. Today, we’re excited to highlight Matthew’s adventure through the scenic roads of Saint-Donat and Mont Tremblant, a perfect blend of nature, luxury, and automotive passion.

The pitch

Matthew and his wife wanted to explore Quebec’s stunning autumn landscapes in style. Their plan? Take the long, scenic routes through Rawdon to Saint-Donat and onto Mont Tremblant. The Porsche 911, a car that balances elegance and performance, was the perfect choice for winding roads and long curves framed by vibrant, colour-changing trees.

The destination

Saint-Donat and Mont Tremblant are renowned for their breathtaking views and outdoor activities, especially during the fall. Saint-Donat offered a tranquil retreat at their chalet by the lake, while Mont Tremblant provided thrilling drives and opportunities to explore the beauty of Quebec’s National Parks. The routes between these destinations, including Route 125, are a paradise for road-trippers, offering endless vistas and hidden gems.

The journey

Starting from Rawdon, Matthew and his wife took the scenic route to Saint-Donat, stopping frequently to marvel at the beauty around them. “We stopped quite a bit and took a few breaks just from the sheer beauty of nature around us coupled with the car’s elegant lines and timeless look,” Matthew shared.

Once settled at their chalet, the next day took them to Mont Tremblant on more winding, scenic roads. The Porsche 911 added to the experience with its exceptional ride quality and comfort, turning each curve into a moment of joy while still respecting the limits and laws.

The highlight of their trip came back at the chalet, where they made coffee outside by the lake during sunset. Using a camp stove and hand-grinding beans purchased from an automotive apparel website, they enjoyed an Italian-style coffee on the spoiler of the 911. “It was just an iconic moment for any automotive enthusiast,” Matthew said.

Pro tips:

Enjoy the journey: “The goal shouldn’t be to get from point A to point B. The most fun is the journey.”

Plan scenic routes: Take the long way if you have time, like Route 125 to Saint-Donat, which Matthew called “absolutely stunning.”

Immerse yourself in nature: Stop at National Parks for hiking and take your time to enjoy the seasonal changes.

Make time for the little moments: Explore roadside gems like small restaurants or coffee shops, and don’t rush the experience.

The Turo experience

Here’s what Matthew had to say about his experience with Turo:

For Matthew, Turo made the trip seamless from start to finish. “Car was dropped off and picked up exactly at the specified time. Car was in good condition and had instant access to the host via Turo DMs. 11/10.” The variety of vehicles and simplicity of the process stood out, with Matthew saying, “Turo is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to this rental car monopoly.” He especially appreciated the ability to rent unique vehicles like the Porsche 911, noting, “A million times better than any rental company. Just wished you guys were in Italy the last few times I went!”
