Dreaming of the open road? Introducing Pitch a Trip, a program designed by Turo to help everyday Canadians and aspiring content creators turn their road trip dreams into reality. Today, we’re excited to share Alexandre’s journey from Montréal through Rimouski, Gaspésie, Québec City, and back — a road trip packed with surprises, seafood, and convertible Jeep cruising.

The pitch

Every year, Alexandre leaves his home in Revelstoke, BC, to return to Québec and reconnect with friends and family. This year, he wanted to make the trip extra special — not just a reunion, but a chance to explore new places in style. Enter a 2024 Jeep Wrangler booked on Turo, complete with leather seats, a killer sound system, and convertible freedom when the sun was out. With airport pick-up and drop-off, the whole thing felt next-level.

The destination

His trip was a mix of familiar comforts and first-time adventures. Montréal for surprise visits and city cruising. Rimouski for long-overdue time with his mom. Gaspésie for jaw-dropping coastal views, seafood feasts, and the iconic Roché Percé. And Québec City for wandering the cobblestone streets of Old Town.

The journey

The adventure kicked off in Montréal with a surprise birthday visit to a friend — mission accomplished. From there, Alexandre headed east to Rimouski, where he spent a few days catching up with his mom. Their highlight? A road trip down to Gaspésie, a first for both of them.

Despite a week of rainy weather, the skies cleared just in time for Percé. Alexandre finally got to fly his drone over the legendary Roché Percé — a striking rock arch that rises dramatically out of the Atlantic. “It didn’t disappoint,” he said. The day ended with local seafood, including a surprisingly delicious shrimp poutine.

After returning to Rimouski, Alexandre made his way to Québec City to see another friend and wander the old streets, soaking in the history and charm. Finally, he looped back to Montréal to make the most of the Jeep’s open roof, enjoying warm spells that felt like summer even when the weather insisted otherwise.

Pro tips:

Airport pick-up is a game changer: Save time and start your trip the moment you land.

Don’t just go for the cheapest option: One of the best parts of Turo is getting to drive something you’re genuinely excited about.

Communicate with your host: They’re often super responsive and can answer questions about the car or your trip.

Be flexible with the weather: Especially in coastal Québec, conditions can change fast.

The Turo experience

Here’s what Alex had to say about his experience with Turo:

“Everything was seriously perfect. Airport pick-up and drop-off was just amazing and the host has been very responsive and helpful. What makes Turo so much better than the competitors in my opinion is the wide range of vehicles available, including more luxurious models.”
