Introducing One for the Road, a rich, buttery, small-batch ice cream inspired by one of Canada’s most iconic desserts: the buttertart.
With a signature touch of maple, this collaboration is a love letter to Canada. We hope it inspires you to plan your next road trip and explore the best the country has to offer, including the flavours and places that help shape our communities.

Starting June 21, you can swing by Ruru Baked to try One for the Road or pick up a pint to take with you.
To celebrate the launch, we’re giving away 500 free scoops of One for the Road at Ruru Baked’s store (659 Lansdowne Ave, Toronto) on June 21st, from 12 to 6pm. It’s our way of saying thanks for supporting local and giving you a little fuel for your next adventure.

Turo’s lineup just got a whole lot sweeter
At Turo, we believe the right set of wheels can make any trip more special. That’s why this summer, we’re making a sweet addition to our lineup: for a limited time, you can book the iconic Ruru Baked ice cream truck for your own private catered event!
Whether you’re throwing a backyard bash, hosting an office party, or celebrating something personal, this is your chance to bring a little extra joy (and a lot of ice cream) to the table.
While this experience is valued at over $2,000, we’re offering it for just $200 (+ taxes & fees), with 100% of the proceeds donated to Eva’s House, a shelter supporting local youth experiencing homelessness.
Your rental includes the Ruru Baked ice cream truck, two hours of staffed service from the Ruru Baked team, 150 mini scoops of their signature small-batch ice cream, plus everything you need to serve it up — cones, cups, spoons, and napkins.
With only four dates available, this is a limited opportunity, and we expect spots to fill quickly.

Important details you need to know
Please note: This booking is for a catered ice cream event, you are not driving the truck yourself. The Ruru Baked team handles all setup, service, and takedown.
Once you complete your booking request, a member of the Ruru Baked will reach out to review your event details, confirm all requirements, and finalize your reservation. Your booking is only officially confirmed once it has been reviewed and approved by Ruru Baked and Turo representatives*.
- Eligibility: You must have a valid Turo account in good standing in order to complete your booking.
- Location: Event must take place within the Greater Toronto Area (up to 30 km from Ruru Baked’s flagship shop at 659 Lansdowne Ave, M6H 3Y2)
- Truck size: You must confirm space + clearance for the truck to park safely (dimensions: 27.75′ L x 8′ W x 10.33′ H)
- Guest count: There’s no formal cap, but please confirm the event size upon booking (note: booking includes 150 mini scoops total)
*Additional terms and requirements apply. All bookings are subject to review and final approval by both Ruru Baked and Turo. We reserve the right to cancel any booking that does not meet event requirement, including but not limited to location limits (within 30 km of Ruru Baked’s Lansdowne shop), insufficient space or clearance for the truck, or other factors that may prevent us from safely or appropriately delivering the experience. Booking is not confirmed until full event details have been submitted, reviewed, and officially approved by Turo and Ruru baked representatives.
