In-person key handoffs<\/span>
When you go to pick up a car you booked on Turo, your host will often meet you in person to tell you about the car, answer your questions, and share recommendations for your trip so you can travel like a local! You\u2019ll also sometimes check in via lockbox or other remote technology without meeting your host \u2014 they\u2019ll guide you through the whole process and communicate how to pick up their car before each trip via the Turo app.

Optional Extras<\/span>
Level up your trip by adding Extras when you book a car. Many hosts offer optional items you can add to your trip as Extras, such as child seats, roof racks, prams, beach gear, unlimited distance, and lots more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicle age eligibility<\/strong><\/td>All vehicles on Turo are a maximum of 11 years old (when listed), with exceptions made for specialty and classic cars.<\/td><\/tr>
Protection plans\u00b2:<\/strong><\/td>Choose from three plans that include protection against theft, loss, or damage, plus legal liability protection of $20,000,000:

Premier:<\/strong> 50% of trip price, $0 deductible
Standard:<\/strong> 30% of trip price, $500 deductible
Minimum: <\/strong>10% of trip price, $1,500 deductible <\/td><\/tr>
Pricing<\/strong><\/td>Hosts set their own prices, per day.

Many hosts offer discounts for booking a week in advance, as well as for weekly and monthly trips.<\/td><\/tr>
Pickup & accessing cars<\/strong><\/td>It\u2019s most common to meet your host in person when you pick up the car on Turo, but you may also access the car via lockbox or other remote unlocking technology.<\/td><\/tr>
Getting your car delivered<\/strong><\/td>Many Turo hosts offer delivery, so you can pick up your car at the airport, train station, hotel, or even a custom location of your choosing. <\/td><\/tr>
Taking trip photos<\/strong><\/td>Both guests and hosts take pre-trip and post-trip photos, so everyone stays protected and accountable in the event of an incident.<\/td><\/tr>
Mileage<\/strong><\/td>Turo hosts choose their own mileage limits that are included in the cost of the trip. Minimum limits are between 100km and 300km, but many hosts offer unlimited distance.<\/td><\/tr>
Pay later<\/strong><\/td>Guests have the option to pay for their trip when they book it, or have their payment processed closer to when the trip starts. Toll costs are paid after the trip.<\/td><\/tr>
Cancellation<\/strong><\/td>Cancel for free up to 24 hours before your trip starts. If you cancel after the free cancellation period, you\u2019ll be charged a small fee.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n
