The only good thing about the rental experience was that I asked the owner if they offered front door pick up/ drop off and they said they could for an extra $50 - no problem. Unfortunately, everything else about the rental experience was poor. The car smelled like cigarettes and it was so strong that we had to keep the windows open for the 1.5 drive to and from Denver - Breckenridge. There was also a check engine light on the entire time AND there was no windshield fluid - very dangerous. In the backseat there was a container of wax and rolling papers that my 5 year old son found - which was really frustrating (on top of the strong smoke odor) - not something you want left behind as a surprise for children. The worst part about all of this was the fact the front windshield was so tinted I could barely see when it got dark out that it became a dangerous hazard. I really was excited to rent this SUV for my family and was really let down.
