The home pick up location is for local guest that are NOT using the airport shuttles to get TO and/or FROM the airport terminals at the beginning and/or ending of their trip. The "delivery fee" is airport access from the airport parking lot and is an automatic charge to my parking account when shuttle services are used. Airport reservations also have different needs from local trips so, if you are reading this and flying into IAH the pick up location needs to be Bush Intercontinental Airport to avoid any fees, trip interruptions or cancellations. Local guests will receive pick up instructions as they are different from airport arrivals once we are within 24 hours of starting. After the verification photos have been uploaded local guests will receive their pick up instructions.

As one of few Power Hosts on the platform it is a pleasure to host guests on TURO. The guidelines for this vehicle along with my other TURO hosted vehicles are very straight forward! I have a zero tolerance policy for speeding, smoking, or drug use of any kind. My vehicles are equipped with telematics and if there is speeding in the vehicles they will be involuntarily repossessed as this presents a major safety concern to the public, along with my fleet. Respect As a Power Host on TURO I have a track record of exemplary performance! I understand that travel can be stressful however you must remain respectful of hosts on the TURO marketplace while utilizing our vehicles. The policies that each host has established for their market and vehicle are guaranteed to be different! Each host is different and to speak for myself I have all pertinent information for my listings in the FAQs (visible before a trip is booked) and in Guest Instructions (additional details that are only released after a reservation is booked). Smoking & Cleaning Violations No smoking, drinking or drug use of any kind is allowed! Although I love pets, this listing is not pet friendly. Return the vehicle in the like new, clean, refueled, sanitized condition in which you received the car. If there is drug use of any kind in my vehicles I guarantee you I will find it and you will be fined $250. If you make a mess or have pets in the vehicle you will be fined $150. Final Notes: This vehicle requires Regular Unleaded fuel: Top Tier gas stations only (Examples: Shell, Circle K, Chevron, Exxon, Valero, Mobil 1). If the vehicle is not returned full and I submit a reimbursement then TURO will automatically charge a $10 inconvenience fee if the host submits for fuel reimbursement. Have a safe and fun trip!

• ACCIDENTS What if I am involved in an accident?

  At the start of your trip upload a photo of your insurance card into trip photos! Guests are financially responsible for all damage done to a vehicle while being used on TURO and will be subject to paying the cost of repair, diminished value, and loss of use income while the vehicle is down for repairs. Your personal insurance plan does cover one off situations if you are involved in an accident while driving someone else’s vehicle. This is called a first party damage claim. Because TURO is not a car rental company your personal insurance will cover any damages and this will also avoid you paying a $3,500 deductible and the additional costs: loss of use, and diminished value. If someone else damages the vehicle this is called a third party damage claim. Be sure to call 911, me (the host), and collect their insurance information. Unfortunately, the roads are not a guaranteed safety net. If in fact you are involved in a collision the first step is to call 911 and request police to the scene of a collision with another vehicle. DO NOT EVER ADMIT FAULT TO AN ACCIDENT!!!!!! Wait for the police to arrive on scene and let them sort it out on a police report. The next step is to call myself "the host" and I will guide you through the appropriate steps! Be vigilant on the roads; navigate through the vehicle's features while you are parked and free of distractions (the road is no place to figure out a new feature). Do not rely on driving aids such as forward collision, and park assist; you are the driver in command! If you are involved in an accident and you have elected the basic insurance protection plan through TURO once you or I report the accident TURO will automatically place a $500 damage hold on your account. At the end of your trip the basic plan holds a $3,000 damage deductible that you are responsible for paying in addition to associated fees up to $575. TURO does not pay for the loss of use income and diminished value to the vehicles. You will remain solely responsible for these costs if you choose to not utilize your personal insurance. • TOLLS & TICKETS What if I passed through a toll? What if I received a citation or the car was impounded?

  If you pass through a toll I will submit the incidental charge(s) once I receive an invoice from the respective toll authority. Local toll authorities to Houston, TX include but are not limited to: TxTag 99 Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) Blueridge Transportation 288 Fort Bend County Toll AuthorityMontgomery County Toll Authority North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) Each toll road authority are subject to mail in their invoices on their time table. Typically, it's 4 - 6 weeks after your reservation but I have seen invoices in upwards of 9 months later. Effective October 1, 2021 the invoice mailed in will incur a $10 service fee the same as a fuel reimbursement. If the car is impounded or you receive a citation from police; you were doing something you were not supposed to be doing. Impound fees usually range from $200 - $500; and there will be an additional fee $50 - $150 due to making arrangements to recover the vehicle. There will also be a $150 minimum incidental for cleaning the vehicle. You are responsible to appear to court if a citation was written from a peace officer and you are responsible for all tolls during your reservation.

• TRIP EXTENSIONS What happens if my trip runs longer than I expected?

  From my experience 85% of trips booked require a trip extension; simply go into your reservation in TURO and request an extension. TURO will calculate the additional cost. As long as there is not a reservation immediately after your trip I will approve the extra time. You must also submit for a trip extension at least two hours before the trip ends so, I have sufficient time to approve the request. Communication here is the key!

• DRIVERS Can anyone drive during my rental time? How do I add additional drivers?

• CLEANING How do I manage post trip clean-up?

  There will be a message automatically sent towards the end of your reservation pertaining to cleaning the vehicle. TURO is crystal clear that hosts are not responsible for items left behind in the vehicles. I still recommend asking if you believe you have left an item behind but, my vehicles are typically booked back-to-back. By cleaning out the vehicle it ensures that all personal belongings are out of the vehicle! Vehicles in my fleet have a membership to Blue Wave Car Wash and there are multiple locations in Houston and the Greater Houston area. However if you are unable to use Blue Wave Car Wash use a professional car wash such as: Mister Car Wash, Blue Wave Car Wash, Whitewater Express, or QuickQuack. Please go through a professional car wash and clean the vehicle out before returning to avoid cleaning violations from TURO. Grocery store and gas station tunnels have resulted in damage claims! Hosts will be able to charge a $150 violation fee for abusive and irresponsible cleaning issues. The “Post-trip cleaning” Extra is no longer be available. The “smoking fee” is $150 to help offset the cost to hosts — and to be clear with guests that smoking of any kind is unacceptable. If you decide to not abide by the cleaning and smoking policy do not try to cover it up! I will find the violation and your account will be charged $150. Additionally, it's disrespectful to the TURO marketplace and other guests!

• REFUELING Do I have to refuel the car at the end of my trip?

  Yes! Please top off the tank and you will not receive a reimbursement request.I recommend stopping at a gas station once you're within 5 miles of your destination. Example: Do not fill up on the south side of Houston when you're returning the car to Bush Intercontinental Airport on the north side. For convenience TURO offers the "prepaid fueling" extra for post-trip return. It is priced within reason considering you are paying for 18.5 gal of premium fuel and the convenience of not having to go to the gas station! Pro-Tip: You can avoid the hassle altogether by taking care of this at the start of your reservation. Purchase the prepaid refueling extra.

• SAFETY Is there an Apple Air Tag in the car following me?

  All of the cars on my TURO profile have tracking capabilities with Apple Air Tags being one line of defense to prevent thieves. Modern day vehicles have GPS tracking capabilities to assist with roadside assistance, and theft recovery. No, the Air Tag is not following you it’s integrated into the car. Apple Air Tags are just one line of many safeguards I have in place to protect my vehicles while they are being used on TURO!

• DELIVERY Can you deliver the vehicle to me?

  Yes, I offer delivery of my vehicles at our Houston airports: Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU). As stated in the guidelines on my profile “each market is different”. Houston airports do not allow TURO hosts into the terminal for pickup and handoffs. I do not care if other hosts are violating airport rules! The same as Hertz, Enterprise, etc. there will be a shuttle that will take you to offsite parking. I will not risk my vehicles being impounded by the airport or Houston police. Be sure to select delivery when making your reservation and choose the correct airport. If a trip is booked more than 24 hours in advance I will send check in instructions once we are within 24 hours from starting. Please upload your check in photos when I request them. Do not upload them early or you will be required to upload check in photos again.

• SPEEDING I wanna go fast, I wanna go fast, I wanna go fast!!!

  If you know Talladega Nights, then you know baby Ricky Bobby wanted to go fast… TURO has a strict policy regarding safe driving practices and excessive speeding is not allowed in my vehicles. High performance vehicles in my fleet have telematics installed and some even have speed governors to curb bad driving habits. If the behavior is repetitive the vehicle will be involuntarily repossessed and you will NOT receive a refund for any “unused portion” of the reservation. Your account will automatically be billed for any excessive wear and tear to the vehicle’s wheels if applicable. Ultimately, this enhances driver safety protecting you (whether you want the protection or not), other drivers on the road, and the vehicle itself from being involved in an unnecessary high speed accident.
