Description
Drive the original SUV. My 1987 4WD AMC/Jeep Grand Wagoneer is in perfect condition. Recently renovated siding and remanufactured engine and studded snow tires make it create in the snow! It is NOT fuel efficient running at 10 to 12 mpg but you will get a lot of looks and complements. Great for in town driving and trip to the side country.

Proper vehicle for the mountain roads of Colorado. Truck drove great and received so many compliments. She is a head turner. I used it during the summer, A/C and radio worked great. It is a 1987, so it takes some getting used to. Really a great experience overall. Will be renting again.

This was the second time renting Bob’s wagoneer and will not be the last. It is as reliable as it is charismatic. Bob was very accommodating/ and seamless to work with for pick/up and drop off.

Bob was very thorough during walkthrough as it is a classic collector vehicle. Everyone that sees the car smiles! Overall incredible experience and plan on using Bob/ the wagoneer for all future trips to Aspen!

The owner was helpful but I wouldn’t rent his Jeep again. It is old and guzzled gas. The rear window doesn’t work properly so it was difficult/impossible to store luggage. The vehicle is underpowered for the uphill and snowy roads. The rear seatbelts don’t work so we couldn’t take kids in this vehicle. He briefed us on that shortcoming when we arrived. The windshield wipers are inadequate in snowy conditions. The headlights are dim at night.

This is a vintage 35 year old vehicle with 35 year old technology. The Florida family of 6 who rented this vehicle were not well versed in the eccentricities of older vehicles. There are rear seat belts and the do work but they are only lap belts. These renters damaged the paint on the vehicle and ran the car into a ditch during a snowstorm.
The power that is required to move a 6000 pound vehicle up a 15% degree hill at 8000 feet is substantial
