Richie was super sweet and very responsive—even after I thought I had locked my purse in the car at 4am after the trip had concluded. He was still really nice about it, even at the early hour. He responded quickly, which was not expected, but so appreciated since we were in the way to the airport. Thank you, Richie!

Unfortunately, the experience with Ritchie was disappointing – my first one on Turo. Accordingly, I give only a 3-star rating and deduct two stars for the following reasons: – I knew that I had to pay for parking upon pick-up but assumed the car would be parked in the morning of the day when we had agreed for a pick-up at noon. However, Ritchie parked the car nearly 1 day in advance so that the parking fee was $25 (more than 5% of the overall trip price despite labelling the drop off at SFO as "free"). His explanation was that he has so many cars that he can't meet everybody for drop off, thereby effectively passing on his business risk onto his customers. Furthermore, he offered to refund the $25 only if we end the trip and find another car. Not a good treatment of customers. – The brakes need maintenance (made a weird sound and do not seem to be properly aligned), which was mentioned by a previous guest already and so it's worrisome that this was not done. – The car had small dents/paint damages, primarily on the hull but also on other parts. However, one could not see those on the pictures made by Ritchie as evidence for the condition of the car before dropping it off because Ritchie made the pictures when there were small waterdrops on the hull. Gratefully I carefully checked the car at pick-up and noticed those.
