What Type of Gas Does the Car Take? Do I Need to Fill Up the Gas Tank Before Returning?
Regular unleaded; we do ask that you fill the tank to the same level you received it at before return.
What if I Need Extra Mileage?
We do offer an “Extra” where you can purchase more mileage; if you are going to go over mileage by a significant amount, we do encourage you to purchase that extra. Otherwise, we charge per mile over the allotted mileage, which varies depending on the car, but you can find the details on the trip details page of the app.
How do tolls work? Do I have to pay for tolls?
Yes, as a renter, you are responsible for all toll charges. At the end of each trip, I will go through and tally up all the toll charges and request reimbursement at the end of the trip.
How Does Communication Work?
Turo requires all communication to be held in the Turo app, and we ask that you please adhere to this policy. The Turo app is managed nearly 24/7 per day by myself or my partner, while my personal cell phone is not - by messaging here in the app you will get the quickest response. It is IMPORTANT that you download the Turo app and turn notifications on, otherwise, you will miss important pieces of instruction for vehicle pick up.
Do I need to clean the vehicle before returning?
We ask that you return the vehicle in the same condition you picked it up in. We don't expect you to go out and detail the car before return, but we do appreciate the car being tidy upon return.
Is smoking allowed in the vehicle?
No, according to Turo’s Terms and Policy’s this action is Strictly Prohibited and will result in a Fine.
How Do I Add an Additional Driver?
Please get in touch with Turo Customer Support, as we do not provide Technical Support.
Are You Flexible with the Vehicle Pick-Up or Drop-Off Location? Do You Offer Delivery?
The vehicle needs to be parked back in the same area it was dropped off from. If you need to pick it up or drop-off at a different location that is convenient for you, please purchase that option in the app when renting the vehicle.
Are you flexible with extensions? Returning the car early? Adjusting pick-up/return time?
Yes! The vehicle will be ready for you at your pick-up time, but it is perfectly fine if you need to pick it up after that. We do ask that any significant changes be made in the app under the “Modify Trip Details” section - this is particularly important if you are going to be more than 30 minutes late at vehicle drop-off or if you want to pick up the car more than 30 minutes early. If you need to extend or shorten your trip, that is also flexible, pending the vehicle's availability.*
