Faqs

  • 4️⃣ How long does it take to recharge the Tesla? ⏳

🅰️: Home Charger 110v: 3-5 miles of range per hour. 🅰️: Home Charger 220v: 20-30 miles of range per hour. 🅰️: Tesla Destination Charger: 20-30 miles of range per hour. 🅰️: 3rd Party Charger: 20-30 miles of range per hour. 🅰️: Tesla Supercharger: 200-250 miles of range per hour.

  • 2️⃣ How can I reduce “Range Anxiety”? 😬

🅰️: Use the on screen Tesla navigation to direct you to your destination. The Tesla will automatically (in live time) tell you how much battery you will arrive at your destination with and how much battery you will have coming back home from your destination (round trip estimate). The navigation will also update (in live time) the estimated location arrival battery percentage based on your driving (how fast your going, how much AC your using, etc..). If you are running low on battery, the Tesla will give you recommendations to lessen battery consumption so you can make it to your destination.

  • 3️⃣ Where can I charge the Tesla? 🧭

🅰️: At home with the charger in the trunk (black Tesla bag). It has a 110v & 220v adapter. 🅰️: Tesla Supercharger or Destination Charger. Use the Map on the Tesla to locate chargers. 🅰️: 3rd Party Chargers. J1772 adapter included in black Tesla charging bag in the trunk. Tip - Download the “PlugShare” app to locate 3rd party chargers.

  • 9️⃣How do I lock/unlock/start/turn off the car? 🔐

🅰️ You’ll use the black key card to lock and unlock the car by tapping the key card underneath the camera on the exterior driver door pillar. 🅰️ To start the car, tap the key card behind the center console cup holder. To “turn off” the car, just lock the doors. Here’s a short Tesla made video that shows you what I’ve described. https://youtu.be/7xxCgtXEMVY

  • 1️⃣ What happens if the Tesla runs out of battery?

🅰️: First, running out of battery almost always results in damaging the 12v battery in the car ($200 replacement if damaged). If you run out of battery, the car may not turn back on, even if you plug it into a charger (due to the 12v battery being damaged). The best practice is if you think you won’t make it to your charging destination it is better to pull off the road safely and leave at least ~5% battery remaining. You’ll want AC while you wait for the tow truck to arrive and tow you to the nearest charging station. 🅰️: You have 3 towing options if you run out of battery. 1️⃣. Turo roadside assistance 1-[Number redacted for privacy and security] ($250+) 2️⃣. Tesla roadside assistance 1-[Number redacted for privacy and security] ($250+) 3️⃣. Your personal car insurance roadside assistance or AAA (Free - $250+) 🅰️: Running out of battery will also require the Tesla to be jumped. Very few tow trucks have the hardware needed to jump a Tesla. If the tow truck does not have hardware to jump a Tesla, you’ll need to have the Tesla towed to the nearest Tesla Service Center.

  • 6️⃣ What if I get flashed by a photo speed radar? 💸

🅰️: We receive tickets that we forward to Turo and Turo transfers ownership of the ticket to the renter. Please be mindful to drive the speed limit while in our rental.

  • 7️⃣ How many miles can I get on a single charge? 🚗

🅰️ This 2023 Tesla Model 3 has an ideal range of 272 miles. Most drivers gets about 90-95% of that when you account for AC usage, highway speed driving, accelerating quickly, head wind(s), & driving up hill.

  • 5️⃣ Tips to avoid damaging the Tesla 🛠

🅰️: The rims on Tesla protrude out past the tires, so be careful around curbs. If the rims are scuffed, it will cost up to $200 to repair. 🅰️: Windshield rock chips are common when following behind a large truck on the freeway. Try to avoid driving behind large trucks. A rock chip will cost $100 to repair or $1500+ to replace windshield if glass is cracked.

  • 🔟 How do I reboot the Tesla’s computer? 💻

🅰️ If your experiencing an issue with the car, try rebooting the computer. This fixes most issues right away. With the tesla in Park, reboot the Tesla by holding both scroll wheels on the steering wheel until you see the touch screen turn off. It’ll take 1-2 minutes for the touch screen to fully reboot.
