This was my first time booking with turo due to a late flight. The host was really great with accommodating my flight delays coming in and leaving. The communication that’s good and I was able to find the vehicle with no problems.

Car was in good shape, had warning popping up as “maintenance required” but was in perfect condition.

Our original car had mechanical issues but the host dropped off another car so we weren’t stranded late at night at the airport. We were thankful for that. The car wasn’t up to the expectation we had with the original car but it was fine, just less space, smaller overall and a few dings along with a cracked windshield. The host told me I would be paying a lesser amount but has charged me $4 a day more than the amount they had told me. The host said it would be refunded 2 days ago via Venmo but this has not happened. The pick up and drop off were great at the small airport. I was very leery about renting with Turo but heard great things from family and friends. I am not sure about renting again since I paid a different amount than was messaged in our chat and the last minute change of the car.

Hi Tiffany, I’m really sorry to hear you had a bad experience. As you mentioned, the first car had unexpected mechanical issues, and I understand the second vehicle..a Corolla, didn’t meet your expectations after originally booking a Mercedes.
I just wanted to clarify that the $4 you mentioned wasn’t a host charge…it was part of a $28 fee added by Turo, which we don’t control. That said, we went ahead and refunded you the full $28.
