As she is a 36-Year Old War Veteran we DO NOT recommend long road trips, as there is an increased risk of mechanical problems and excessive wear & tear on this classic truck. Best suited to day trips to the beach, journeys to the bush, events and marketing gigs,; and all within 150km of Windsor 3181 please.

Fantastic vehicle and great host, super smooth and accommodating, would definitely recommend! The Perentie is a uniquely Australian Defender, both capable and comfortable wherever it goes.

I rented this car from Windsor Garage through Turo for a scenic drive on The Great Ocean Road. This defender was fantastic as long as it stayed on level ground. If you want to do anything greater than a 5 degree incline you best keep the tank above 1/2 tank, otherwise it’ll die on you. I was not made aware of this and thought something was wrong with the car. I talked to Ryan who was apologetic and tried to help. I asked for a backup car seeing as how we did not know what the issue was with the car and I didn’t want to risk being stalled on the ocean road. Ryan told me he would be out there with the back up car in 3 hours. (We were about 2 1/2 hours away so this made sense) after 3 hours of nothing we reached back out to Ryan who said it would be at least another 2 hours. 3 hours later he arrived with the back up car. We had been stranded for 6 hours…. I could have limped the car to him, picked up the backup car, and made it back to that spot before he showed up. I assumed because of the company I was renting from I would get a backup car similar or better. We received a bare bones Toyota Yaris. Beggars can’t be choosers but come on…
After all of this my wife and I were so disappointed with how everything went. It was a day wasted.

Absolutely fantastic vehicle. Made our small trip out the city even more memorable! Would highly recommend taking for a spin out of the city on a hot day.
Ryan as a host looked after us so well - ensured we had all the right info to get going and made sure we could finish the trip in one piece, answered any questions we had, and very knowledgable about the truck.
